Well, not being very lucky with the way PI turned out, it still will be part of eve soon.
One information I really find underestimated is the transition phase between old and new version.
Will all NPC products, just vanish from the market, will they be removed after a start up phase, degraded in price when player market starts to kick in?
I really hope for the last version, since just assume all npc pos fuels go offline and the players don't pick up pi fast enough to cover for that. While the idea of 20.000 towers going offline, might be fun in some books, I would not underestimate the problems that a start on the wrong foot could produce.
Would be nice to hear from ccp about thier plans, before I go panic mode and buy npc fuel for 1 billion ;)

They've hinted at a phased-in change to the products only being created by players. Which would match how they've done things like this in the past. I expect a 1-3 month phase-in.
(Personally - I always keep 2-3 months of fuel on-hand.)

If I were to lay money on it, I'd say that they're most likely to just tell the trade goods to stop re-seeding. That way there's a buffer of stuff still on the market for the time being that phases itself out naturally.
I expect few transition issues since people who run POSes will stock up on the needed materials, anyone inteligent enough to keep a POS running will likely read the patchlogs enough to see that they're going to want some spare fuel while the production spins up.

You are a smart person. Anything less and you would have to be an idiot.

U forget people who will say "EVE is dying" or "EVE isn't a cake", though this people usually continue playing, and actuall not only players say that jokes but devs too (i remember once or twice)... ------------------------------------------------- I am envoy from nowhere in nowhere. Nobody and nothing have sent me. And though it is impossible I exist ¬ Trimutius |
