I'm in the trusty Incursus, hopping around Ami and thereabouts. Fensi empty, Bridi empty. Ami has Hurricanes and Armageddons. Back to Amdonen, check belts. Empty, of course. Remember that Minmatar Frigate III finished a few hours ago. And T2 ACs... Apparently it's the good stuff. Head to Amarr, build me a Rifter that looks strikingly like my Incursus fit -- every ship needs an armor rep, booster, and AB. At least mine do. Set off to the usual belts and land in Nishah. Three named cans on scan, all in the same belt. All full, all next to a retriever. The unicorns will feast tonight!
Flip the cans. After the second, an orca shows up, tractors in the last. Shame. Sit around a bit counting my ore, when he deploys drones and starts locking me. T1 Hammerheads. Hmm. Check local; four reds. Check scan; only a few retrievers and ittys.
Orca sets his drones on me (wooho!). I kill them, then move up to him and shove EMP S right into his tailpipe. What happens next was the most surreal fight I've ever had in this game:
- At 50% shields, a retriever spawns at 10km. Starts throwing drones at me. T1 hammerheads (seem to be on sale). Load barrage, pull a wider orbit, lay onto the barge. Apparently was a trigger, because a bellicose appears at 20km and starts shooting... HMLs? okai. Still, reps barely holding up. Die retriever, die! Retriever warps off at half hull. Open comms with the Orca pilot and ask for a totally reasonably 300m. Silence.
- At 30% armor, another Orca warps into the belt. WTF is this place? T2 hammerheads. Together with the bellicose still hanging around at 20km, it hurts. Crap, this really doesn't look good. Armor swinging back and forth wildly, flames shooting out everywhere. Overload everything. Die, hammerheads, die! Hammerheads die. Even manage to disable overload before my modules are toast. And RR is heading my way. Yay!
- At 50% hull, overview turns purple. Such a beautiful color. Armor and shield hop from all red to all white. An even more beautiful color. Second orca is gone though. Replaced by Thorax and Incursus. Undeterred by my knights in shining armor they start shooting. CONCORD shoots back. Oh my, how time flies! Reaffirm my wish for 300m ISK. Silence.
And then the Orca dies. Bellicose never flitting, still is sitting, still is sitting. Charge towards him, overload AB and scram one last time. Finally, I can show him the error of his way. Bellicose understands and dies.
Final tally: dead orca, dead bellicose, dead thorax, dead incursus. And me giggling like a schoolgirl.
tl;dr: i like rifters.

wow. that was a 'fail-fit' Orca. Bloody well deserved what he got. And what self-respecting industrialist still uses jetcans when you have an Orca on tap?
I've been known to drop jetcans when mining, but that's can-flipper bait dropped by the cloaked ganka-cane. Unfortunately, no one's taken the bait yet, but it'll be a fun time when they do!
