As thread title says, I'm looking for some firetail pvp setups.
I've never flown the ship or paid any interrest in it so would like to know what it is capable of.

2x 200mm AC II + Barrage 1x whatever fitsnull
1x MSE II 1x RF Disruptor 1x MWD II 1x AB II
1x Gyro II 1x TE II 1x whatever (DC if it fits)
Should be able to handle other tech 1 frigates. Tech II or pirate frigs will eat it alive.

Yeah I don't really think I like that fit. Never been a person for dual prop modding my ships or going complete glass cannon on a frig. __________________________________________________

Stop being bad, SFX Bladerunner.
Prozac's fit is pretty neat.
Any standard purpose fit should be dual propped. ____________ Intigo - go visit www.eve-arena.com for the best Battleclinic killboard replacement yet! |

I don't value a mwd that much for pvp on a frig unless I fly dedicated tackle.
For the firetail I planned on going the (approxiated) same route as for my wolf, which is AB+scram, high dps, lots of buffer.
Past experiences have shown me that the above approach (at least) works very well with my wolf, and the RF firetail is comparable to the wolf xcept in a few key places (changes compared between FITTINGS, not unfitted):
- my wolf does a fair ammount more dps - my RF firetail is faster, has less align time - my RF firetail's guns track better - my wolf has lower sig radius (which does matter a lot with AB frigs)
Now the only real 2 things I am worried about in above key differences are the DPS difference, which is quite staggering, and the sig radius. Those 2 things lean towards getting a wolf over a RF firetail. The RF Firetail being 1,5x + as fast as my wolf and having better tacking+agility however leans heavily towards the RF firetail.
Combined with the fact that a RF firetaill will catch more primary fire, I am just not sure wether flying one is worth it over flying just a wolf or a jaguar (if that's your flavour) __________________________________________________
