Anyone else gets a crash with a blue screen and the message BAD_POOL_HEADER?
I used to get it once in a while with "thief" missions in castor, but now I just can't get into complexes without crashing.
I did a google search and some people suggest faulty memory. I did a memtest86+ test but everything is ok.
My video card is NVIDIA GeForce4 MX 440 w/ AGP8X.
Cheers!
Max.

Hi,
The most common fix for "Blue Screen Of Death" problems are to change either a faulty hardware component or driver on the computer. Does your blue screen mention any dll failing? _________________________________________________________

I downloaded the latest driver, and the blue screen shows for about 0.5 seconds I barely have time to read it. Is there a way to freeze the blue screen to read it?
Thanks for the info,
Max.

I am getting exactly the same thing since exodus when running 2 chars BSOD with bad_pool_caller error, ive updated my drives, backdated em nothing works, all hardware tests show ok. Im an IT engineer and cant find anything wrong with my pc and it only happens when running 2 accounts at the same time. Must be exodus. i hope they sort it out soon. below is microsofts explanation
http://www.microsoft.com/resources/documentation/Windows/XP/all/reskit/en-us/Default.asp?url=/resources/documentation/Windows/XP/all/reskit/en-us/prmd_stp_czgw.asp
my guess is the new graphics engine that eve uses

Check to see if your 'Sun Occluded by ships' option is working properly. There are a number of players that no matter what you set this option to it does not deactivate it and causes a crash when running to clients.
No current fix for this as far as I know I hope there is one soon because I would very much like to play EVE.

Well this morning I tried to install a different video card with no success. The issue is very specific. When a drone/frigate in a 2/10 complex shoots at me, it crashes. I tried to put the lowest graphical requirements (60Hz refresh etc) to no avail

I used to get this quite a bit. Found out it was something to do with my soundblaster sound card. In the end I ended up taking it out and using the onboard sound on my motherboard.

Burning Star, you found it! I disabled the sound card (incidently a Realtek) and the problem is not there anymore!
I'll send you a thank you note with a few isk in-game,
Cheers,

Hmmm. I am running a sb live sound card and thinking about it i hear a very strange noise just before it happens and a high pitched squeel when it does happen. Ill try updating the sound drivers or back date them.
Fingers crossed
