As in they'll eventually gets looked at and corrected. Or do you firmly believe it is a waste of time in a skill plan as of today and more likely, will be, next year.
Correct me if I'm wrong but rockets were "looked at" before dominion, and nothing has changed. This is why i'm asking. I'm eying my skill plan and training to tech 2 small blaster/rails takes about the same time, although my gunnery skills are less focused. My other options being the Harpy and Raptor.
I'm asking this because I'm about to be an Inty and 'dictor pilot.

T2 standards are good on Caracals, but not worth training for intys/dictors.
And rockets while not taking long to get to T2, are generally pointless atm.
ed- go for T2 blasters+rails, and try out the harpy :)

t2 standards are useful on caracal/cerb as anti support - but mostly launchers. Precission ammo sucks and its better to use CN ammo. Rockets? lol. You can pass them and when ccp finally decides to fix them just swap skill - it will take you 7 days tops to get rockets 5 + some levels in spec.

Skipping the smalls is one of the few advantages we get over guns.
If you ever end up needing it it's a quick skill fix.

This.
I've ditched my hawks and crows for harpies and raptors w/ T2 hybrids. Rockets = meh, while T2 rails and blasters = fun.
Training hybrids also opens up other fun ships like the cormorant, moa, ferox, vulture and rokh.
