I was noticing that there is only ONE skill that has Willpower as a primary attribute and its Focus in the Learning skill set.
Not only that, It is only in a few skills as secondary. Gunnery Leadership Missile Launcher Operation Spaceship Command Clarity skill in the Learning skill set. The 4 Offensive systems in subsystems skill set The 4 Propulsion Systems In subsystem skill set
I know that Those skills are some of the most important skills in the game but i would still like to see a skill set that willpower is a Primary attribute.
If we are going for futuristic realism in EVE then i suggest that the skill set come in handy in dire situations, like when you have 50% hull remaining. Im sure that there has been at least one instance in everybody's life that it was there willpower that carried them through.
So to wrap up what Im saying. I think that the game does NOT give the attribute Willpower the credit it deserves. Because willpower or perseverance is a large part of the real world.
OR
If your a new player and reading this take the points out of willpower and divide them between the other attributes because 1 points in a primary attribute is worth 2 in a secondary attribute.
At least until there is a skill set that you REALLY need Willpower

You need to take another look sunshine, for there are many more that have willpower as it's primary.
Hint: look in Spaceship Command.

That's why I keep saying you only need Intelligence and Perception.

My next remap will be willpower 15 perception 9. A full year of t2 ship training there.
OP has done a brain fart here
Plus, by the way, when I remap to wp/per I will get the leadership skills up as I do not ever want to remap to Charisma 15, and Willpower is the secondary for leadership skills.

yep, a good remap for fairly new player, quick to skill up in combat skills, not too shabby in other areas, and being able to fly t2 ships probably not their highest priority at that stage. i would totally dump Will unless you were ready to start training t2 ships and grind out some V's

thumbs up ... its comfy to use the first attribute setup for mem/int for learning skills ... remap soonish to perc/will for some basic ship skills and then perc/int for support skills and additional ship skills.
One year later you should have a fairly solid ship or support skills, based on what you chose to fly (caldari = not so much perc skills to train | minmatar = lots more perc skills to train ... etc) Remap to int/mem or perc/will and then alternate.
Small note, perc/will is superior to int/mem for drone skills unless you don't max out the primary attribute. .

Edited by: Cyan Cure on 07/05/2010 08:00:26 It's not an RPG, don't hold your breath on making Willpower important.
As for the general discusssion, if you're going industry put maximum points into Intelligence, rest to Memory. If you're going combat you should max out perception and put the remaining points in intelligence for fastest training.

Yes, he needs to take a closer look, as, for starters, ALL missile skills take Willpower as secondary, and almost all Spaceship Command skills. And Exhumers, Marauders, Jump Freighters, Interceptors, Heavy Interdictors, Heavy Assault ships, etc., all use Willpower + Perception.
