Just a thought i had , like wars for corps/alliance but on the 1 vs 1 scale? Same thing as wars, costs, both sides agree etc. Myabe a cap of 3 or 5 vendettas? opinions?

Whereas the whole corporate warfare does not totally strain believability this system as stated would shatter it beyond repair.
However, if it were tinkered with some, it could be doable. Perhaps with a vendetta applying after someone pods or kills you, and lasting until you reciprocate. The reciprocating kill would of course not set off another vendetta, lest it begin sanctioned blood feuds.

I would like the ability to have a personal, mutual vendetta with someone. Id also like the ability to arrange a mutual duel in empire space so I dont have to go out to 0.0 whenever I wanna test rigs with an old friend, or settle a score, or whatever.
