Hi All,
is there a difference, if I schedule job for the maximum period, and quitting it after 24 h, or just setting it up for 24h in the first place?
I tend to forget my planets, and I do not always know, if I will be able to log in the next evening, so It would be great if they produce a little stuff then anyways.

Yes, thats the tradeoff.
The shorter you set the duration, the more STUFF per hour it pulls in. |

I thougt, that would just be the median over the complete time. Is it really a difference in the first 24h? |

look at the graphs - they tend to tail off, but if you put them in for 7days you can always stop and start a 24hr one YMMV http://eveboard.com/ub/419190933-134.png

Just remember that the total for the entire period will be deducted from the hotspot even if you abort the program before it ends. So setting log periods and canceling after 24h will depleat the planet faster. |

It makes holes in your planetz!! The only valid tactic would be if you move your launchpad and the ECU every 2 days. Because if you deplete one spot the mass tends to appear somewhere else. Or at least some of the extracted mass does seem to get reallocated.
Fritz@ How long till it extracts the material ? I think there is a minimum of 2h-6h before it will take the whole 14 days of extraction mass. |

Oh, I didn't know about any minimum time. You might be right though. These things are hard to test so I mostly repeat what the devs have stated in blogs and patchnotes. |
