I joined NEXE when it was founded, I left briefly shortly after the loss of Delve, RL reasons mainly, with the intention to rejoin. Came back shortly after they joined IT just in time for the fun of Fountain and then Delve. Here's what I've found.
Leadership is professional and determined but not dictatorial. They know where they are going and what is required of the corp members but each request from them is easily reachable. I have a busy work RL and quite often have to take a step out. I drop a line in the forums and that's it. They know this is a game and we play it for fun not as a job, that we can all achieve our goals without fuss or drama.
The players......are fun loving loons. In Delve we often have visitors which we always encouraged as we got to chase them. You will see short range MWDing BSs chasing small ships, why? cos we've been mining, ratting for several hours and we wanted to see what would happen. 20+ man Titan hot drops on a few trespassers, well why not? SB gangs taking on superior forces with torps and winning....just because.
Now for the real fun bit, IT. Well I was there in the bad times and the good times of BoB. And I can say IT is way better. If you've seen the numerous videos and thought wow, then experiencing a fluid BLOB battle is so much better, even with the lag.
The FCs are superb, leading us to numerous victories, and the occasional glorious defeat, which is still fun . But you have to be on the game too, looking out for tacklers of various types so you don't get caught, looking out encase you've been called primary, recording safe spots in flight so you can warp out if need be, changing ship mod scripts and ammo so you can deliver best DPS and survivability, when to deploy drones and of what type, ammo levels, all the while keeping track of what the FC is saying on target calls, alignments, deployment, their ammo requirement which might not meet your own availability. And that's all happened in the first 20 seconds and you know this could go on for several hours before you are safe and can relax.
So if you like pew pew, you won't go far wrong joining NEXE.
