As a 14 year old with nothing better to do, about 2 years ago I chose to start playing EVE. For most of those 2 years I have been a miner and loved every moment off it. Recently I decided to get into PvP, and more specifically Pirating.
As a WoW player, I cannot begin to tell you how frustrating it is to deal with an immature player base, Honestly that is one of the reasons I don't play much WoW anymore. But In EVE being the bad Pirate I am, I lose a lot of ships and lots of isk and what not, but I don't care. Why? Because every time I get better, and Its because I can ask for help and actually receive advice without complaining. If something is obvious and I don't know, People don't start shouting n00b to my face, they actually help me.
Just today I got blown up by someone, I convod him, and asked him for advice and what I did wrong, and he helped me! The guy who just blew my 5 million isk ship up, who totally beat me, is helping me out, to get better at this game. I don't think I have to say what you would get from a WoW player.
So yeah Thumbs up to everybody, for breaking the stereotype and making this game truly wonderful!

This is actually pretty common, I do it pretty often, making them understand what I did(Like canflipping etc, rarely kill em) so they know what to be wary of.

This is one of the most noob friendly communities out there. We were all there once and we all remember some of our early mistakes. I am still learning things years after starting.
