Okay, I've been doing my homework and I think the best way to make fleet stuff more fun and faster is to reduce overall effective hit points and boost overall damage for ships. I've noticed some glaring problems in common ship designs while graphing out major ship classes and, with the help of my alliance's sov warfare experts, made it all up into pretty charts that anyone can understand without any in-depth understanding of the super sekret science we used to test out theories.
Both are big, data-heavy images so they'll load slowly for some interwebz connections!
Without further delay, here's the EHP chart
And here's the DPS chart
I think alot of you will be really happy with the rebalancing efforts that Elysium has made here. Dealing with these new numbers should massively benefit the overall community and improve on an already good basic design. Please share your thoughts if you get a chance to review my data.

Faster doesn't equate to more fun for everyone.
Personally I'd rather see an increase in base armor, shields, and hull, with a decrease in both dps and rate of armor/hull repair and shield recharge.

Or, they will load crappily even on decent connections, thanks to the combination between your chosen host and image size.
Here's a bit of help, cleaned up and resized, in a different format more suitable for its nature, on the same host.
Alternatively, try shoving the "originals" on eve-files.

It's not "Play through a pre-set story, become stronger, do endgame". Gameplay is open ended, and you make your own story. Unless you're too afraid of 'pvp grief' to do anything relevant |

Drats and dirty trouser serpents! What's this doing here, in the forgotten space under CCP's break room fridge with everyone else's hidden ideas? Hmm, my next set of charts and such will have to cover a non-feature/idea related topic so they don't get moved...or at least cleverly hide the fact that it's an idea under some sinister veil of non-uniqueness. *taps lips thoughtfully*
Oh well, make do where you can, I guess.
Ris, I sort of think that the ultimate problem is having to use gigantic fleets to murder TCUs and their ilk. And when ships in that sort of combat don't asplode fast enough or asplode what they're shooting fast enough, it devolves into a yucky, boring fleet battle where you just watch a load screen for half an hour and finally end up loading into a new pod someplace else.
Akita, thanks for the image edit, but I was thinking higher quality charts would benefit the dev team who wants to view data in super high details. For the casual viewer though, the smaller images are great!
Lagggg, I'm not trying to hurt you. I'm only doing stuff to make your evil griefing very not fun so that you go grief people playing other games instead.

As a matter of fact, I'm not very busy this weekend.  Are you buying?
Oh yes, the charts, the data is of extreme value and I hope the devs print them out and discuss them at the next design meeting or whatever they have to make up new ideas or revisit old ones.

Hey, it's not about hate, but love and rebalancing! I' shocked at the lack of useful feedback in this thread since CCP Applebabe shot it into the dark abyss.
