Looking for a hard-core 0.0 Gurista ratter. Primarily for use in the moderate to heavy complexes as well as the belts.
Went with guns instead of the usual cruise missiles so that I can apply damage to cruisers and frigates. I've abandoned salvaging and loot in favor of burning through the most bounties possible in a given period of time.
Feedback please
[FIT, DPS] 5x 800mm AC + Titanium Sabot 3x Cruise Launchers + Wraith
1x ECCM Ladar Backup II 2x Cap Recharger II 1x 100MN AB II

1x Falloff Rig 1x Power Grid Rig 1x CCC

Setup is cap stable for about 10 minutes Guns have a 4 second rate of fire and a falloff out to about 40 K

What I personally would use:
[Typhoon Fleet Issue, TyFi] Large Armor Repairer II Armor Kinetic Hardener II Armor Kinetic Hardener II Armor Thermic Hardener II Ballistic Control System II Ballistic Control System II Ballistic Control System II Damage Control II
Cap Recharger II Cap Recharger II Target Painter II 100MN Afterburner II
Cruise Missile Launcher II, Paradise Cruise Missile Cruise Missile Launcher II, Paradise Cruise Missile Cruise Missile Launcher II, Paradise Cruise Missile Cruise Missile Launcher II, Paradise Cruise Missile Cruise Missile Launcher II, Paradise Cruise Missile Small Tractor Beam I Salvager II Drone Link Augmentor I
Large Capacitor Control Circuit I Large Capacitor Control Circuit I Large Capacitor Control Circuit I
Berserker II x5 Hammerhead II x5 Hobgoblin II x5
Swap drones to taste, and it should do well. TBH, if you're using a projectile Phoon of any flavour, you'd be better off in a Tempest or Mael, for the ease of not having a split weapon system.
Also I would probably just use a plain T1 Typhoon, as it tanks almost the same and deals the same DPS, and won't burn as big a hole in your wallet.

guristas do orbit quite far out, so sentrys and cruise do seem the best kind of setup to go with - artys being too fitting hungry, torps having no range at all and autos not enough range and fall off to fight constantly at the edge.
Cats setup looks like it would do better dispite being far less paper dps.

Given these observations, anyone figured out what this thing is really good for (excluding epeen)?

The main advantage is for creating super EHP tanker, as one poster mentioned, with 5x plates and faction EANM
Everything else is kinda pointless

nanoship...its faster than regular phoon. Sorta like a cheap mach that does less dps and isnt as fast :)

IMO the phoon/navy phoon only realy works as a PVE boat versus Angels and other rats that like to get up close and in your face, so you can shove torps down their throats. I use a twin webber and TP fit, its fun popping Angel BSs in 4 or 5 volleys :)
Anything else and you are better off in another ship tbh.

Well i think a super effective EHP machine could make a heck of a good bait ship. Fit a couple of good webs and a scram, and just approach your target and inflict 1k DPS as well

It's got a decent amount more CPU than a basic Typhoon, that makes fitting torps a lot easier. I'm flying one roaming WHs, but that has some very specific fitting requirements that lead me to choose the ship.
