I've been living in Sov 0.0 space for the past year. Doing everything there is to do in SOV 0.0 I'm curious about corps that rent 0.0 space. What are the pros/cons of renting.
I'm interested in trying out npc 0.0 to see what its like but don't have a clue about renting space and its benefits.

For me the con is pretty straightforward.
You are charged isk to have access to game content that is free and don't get to build trustful relationship with your peers that share similar interests.
Go make friends with the residents of the space you want to reside in and help them defend it from people that are not as friendly as yourself. You will get to defend your own space instead of relying on the non-existent protection from entities renting space and it only cost you a few ships.

Huh?
No one rents NPC space. You rent to player Sovereignty holders.
If you want to go to NPC space, go there. Move in and fight for the space. Fights are smaller scale and usually without capitals. PvE is not as good as sov space but the PvP is alomst always better. My CSM Election Announcement

Quite the contrary, NPC 0.0 where there are missions available offer great PVE. |

Valid point, if you can gain control of a system with a decent station and have enough quiet time to run the missions. That is if you did not FUBAR your standings running missions in high sec or ratting in the belts. My CSM Election Announcement

No such thing as having standings beyond redemption any more.
Just takes more elbow grease...

this is all off the top of my head, so i'm definatly missing some obvious ones
Pros;
access to JB networks,shared intel and stations you wouldn't normally have if your landlord loves you enough, he might come down and defend your space If you're a small corp making your first steps into nullsec, probably a easier place to start
Cons;
you have to pay you will (often) have to fight on behalf of your landlord you will be seen as decent roaming grounds
