Taken from the sisi patch notes,
"The expanding/collapsing functionality of the scanner has been removed."
Can anybody explain the reasoning behind this? I'm pretty much my WH corp's designated scanner - I spent perhaps an hour a day scanning my and neighboring wspace systems for good sites etc.
Every single time I scan, I collapse the "probes in space" section. I don't need it, and I don't care about it. I don't use it before scanning, while scanning, or after scanning. Others might, but it's just not useful to me. So I collapse it, giving more room to the list of scan signatures, which I find it incredibly useful to be able to do.
Does anybody know why this seemingly pointless and backwards change was made?

I don't know what you're on about, but removing functionality is almost always a bad idea. ------

Because it was yet another way to make the UI worse? You got to give it to CCP, each time you think they reached bottom level they get creative and take it even lower.

How is this a UI improvement?

If I were to guess (and I'm not defending the change) - various people have probably complained about not being able to find their probes or scan signatures (it's possible to collapse both) after accidently collapsing the view. Companies make changes like this when a feature collects too many "support incidents."
I always keep the probe view open minimally, so I can track how much time I have left. Can I hijack thread with oft-repeated plea for special WH detecting core probe?
