Um, yipes.
That reminds me of my first Sager system; Beautiful 16" square LCD, but almost 13 lbs and nearly US$3000 (this was in 2003).
I do give Asus a lot of credit. The Republic of Gamers equipment is solid stuff (and looks cool), if a bit pricey for my tastes.
My preference is normally Gigabyte for desktop and Sager for notebooks, when possible (and despite having access to employee discount for Lenovo, HP, and Dell).

Good specs, but I never liked the chassis on ASUS machines. They remind me too much of that IBM crap.

Oooh, that's almost my desktop in a laptop
That will run a few instances of eve, with a movie in the background and still spend most of it's time bored enough to develop a sentience.
I swear i heard mine growl once, and it was off.

In the winter I use the air that comes out my desktop as a way to warm up my bed, use a ventilation tube found on household stuff (looks like this)taped to the back of my PC to "guide" the air from the exhaust to my bed :P ----------------------------------------------- But then again I cant really approve of any of this because this is my signature |

I'm assuming you're on the move a lot or space is at an absolute premium, if it's the former I would buy a nice mouse, keyboard, and a bigger monitor to connect with it when your not on the move, impressive spec that would go nice with a bigger monitor.
