Ive been a carebear for far to long. My real life takes up a lot of time so I pop on eve... do a few missions... log off. Been doing that for 33mill skill points. Im getting bored of doing that. I fly amarr ships.. recon is at 5, most skills are at 4 to 5... flying most t2 cruisers, and have battleship at 5.
I do have a second account that I never used that flies most t1-t2 minmitar and gallante ships of frig and cruiser class including interdictors, interceptors, hics, and hacs... but I am not to familiar with thier ship, IVe just skilled that account and done nothing else.
What Im thinking is a pilgram for this. set a book mark in 0.4 space with wich to have as a safe zone and stealth warp to and fro. Probe area and find missioners.. kill.. warp back.
What would be the most effective ship to do this with? thank you

Not so sure on the pilgrim, Flying one feels like being in your own death coffin, it's so slow and all that. In this case I'd very much prefer shield over armor tanked ships; self regen and speed. Personally I'd go for a Curse+Scimitar combi. both dualprop fit, while that may sound silly unless you have "secured" the area you're not safe without an MWD.
The Curse won't need massive repping and the Scimi won't be hit much due to range and/or sig radius. Give them both a point and you can have some fun. ----------- I think, therefore I'm single. Want to learn combat/PVP? Alliance creation service |

Pilgrim is excellent for that, but you have to limit yourself to turret boats.
Those will die slowly but surely.
Stay away from missile or drone boats though.

There are a number of available setups you can use.
I recommend you fly a pilgrim on your main, as the neut(+nos) will be very effective in killing the missionrunner's active tank. Then for your second account, since the pilgrim supplies tackle and draining, should be focussed on gank. A HAC will work fine for that. If however you think your pilgrim will be able to kill it solo, fly a scimitar. Pilgrim (I believe) is a shield tanker, so a scimitar would aid you nicely. Scimi can also launch DPS drones on the target. A battleship will prolly be best tho. something like an AC cap boosted tempest with 2x heavy neuts springs to mind.
Or you could go the lame way and fly a lachesis to targetrange damp the victim so he cannot lock either your pilgrim (that is sitting at 20-24km range) OR your lachesis (that is sitting anywhere between 20km and max. targetdamp range). Be carefull for missile boats though, they may or may not be carrying FoFs. (If you find missile boats best to attack them when they have rats orbitting them closer than 20km, FoFs will aggress closest aggressing target) __________________________________________________

As long as there is plenty of npc agro it can easily take on missile ships also. They tend to die when you neut them enough.
Pilgrim is normally armor tanked and very close to target.

ab tanked pilgrim = turrets and missiles Death to all parrots. If it *moves*, it dies. Shadow Signature removed. It needs to be EVE related. Zymurgist NOOO WHYYYY!??? BRING HIM BACK *sniff* |

Edited by: Jabru on 17/05/2010 14:31:53 try a typhoon? big buffer 5 torps 3 neuts, either heavy drones or ECM drones AB/point/web/capbooster for mids? really what more do you want?
and its in a nice little t1 insurable ship but you kinda need a lot of fitting skills to make it all work

This.
Curse + Scimitar = win
I've done it in highsec many times, although with a basilisk instead of a scimitar. But the scimitar is preferred. - Support DISBANDING the Alliance CCP Renamed at the Alliance's Request |

If all this is sounding a bit expensive, remember, you can probably do the job in any decent T1 battlecruiser. Mission-runners are fit for tanking moderate DPS over a long period of time, and don't have a hitpoint buffer. In mission deadspace you usually can't use an MWD, so you need something quick enough with an afterburner to get the tackle. Energy neutralizers and ECM drones help the mission-runner go down quicker, but just having a lot of DPS will probably suffice.
Remember the 'runner won't have a warp disruptor, so you can test out a fit you're not quite sure about, and run away if things go badly.
