You are saying that players are being made irrelevant, in terms of every aspect of competitive gameplay, if any more than 200 people on each side are involved? That's pretty dumb, man. sadly im still up, but heres my problem with these larger conflicts. certainly there are those people who can make a difference in these battles, for the most part they will be bright fcs who understand and know how to exploit situations (the most obvious and persistant being lag/node crash). to this day people pretend to be shocked that the servers arnt supporting the numbers they are bringing and this is an issue which will never be resolved, because simply put... people like vuk over there will keep adding members to their coalitions until the server cant handle the load. why? because thats good for buisness. (both the coalitions and ccp dont have any insentive to change this style of play) now lots of people will come to you and tell you that this is what they want... the "end game", but i mean ive seriously convinsed all my friends that im still able to drive without my glasses. and they believe it cos they want to believe it... there will always be a place for this type of warfare, i doubt it will be removed or even diminished in its "importance" but realistically, this "importance" is only put upon it by the community. however back onto the inital point: the issues with lag really do stop it being pvp. the reason we pvp is because the decisions we make have impacts on ourselves and others. when you get to the stage where those decisions are being made for you by the game eg. "sorry your ship is already in warp" or "failed to target this whats it called" or "you cant warp out you are being pointed from 100000km away" your actions dont just diminish in value, they are worthless in value. your value as an individual to your coalition/alliance/corp is then "how much lag you contributed" which is not PLAYER VERSUS PLAYER. .
