Right so I have on sale 150 of a certain rig. At the moment the price crashed in Rens but because this rig is heavily under the influence of people trying to crash the price, buy up all stock and then relist at much higher, I keep my price as it is.
Furthermore another guy decided he'd like to sell these rigs too in the same station as I am (we're both not rens, but about 6 jumps away in a mission hub)and he listed his at a lower price then mine.
Now nor me nor he changed the prices of our rigs for a few days, yet I'm occasionally still selling a batch of them. Not much but still.
This means that the 0.01 isk war are ineffective and the buyer can just select the sell order he want and actually buy from that order instead of the lowest price in that station? If so then why didn't CCP notify us about this, because its still pretty important.
Buy orders aren't affected so far I can see.. ----------------------------------------------- EVE Gate:

Edited by: Alexi Blue on 18/05/2010 15:59:04 As far as I know nothing is changed. If someone decides to buy from one of the more expensive orders in a station, the person with the cheapest price gets the money and their items sold.
The reason your rigs are being sold is because people buy up orders below your price and start buying your rigs. ---

Or you're getting orders from someone like me. I always buy from whomever put in the 'base price' in a .01 isk war just to protest the pettiness.
I'm also one of those folks the .01 iskers hate, as I'll bump my prices up/down by significant amounts if I get undercut and force them to decide if they really want to compete as opposed to a "who's on line last" battle. (I have a real job and can't log in 20 times a day...)

You are not protesting anything with this. But actually rewarding .01 ISK warriors as they get more ISK from you than their orders are actually worth. ---

Screenshot of all market orders to prove both your orders haven't been modified in a while, accompanied by screenshot of transaction logs to prove you actually sold some rigs in that very station you're allegedly competing in. That, or we'd have to chalk that up to you not reading stuff right.
The alternative would be that there are serious market bugs (still) going on right now, which is not as scary as I first thought, but still scary.

You really have no clue how market orders are supposed to work, do you ? Whoever has the lowest price ALWAYS gets the sale, ALWAYS, regardless of what "order you selected" and regardless of how much you chose to pay. You're just giving the currently leading 0.01 ISK warrior more ISK than what he asked for. Helluva protest, that is.

I had something like that happen to me in Jita a while back. I had a sell order up for Megacyte around 3,500 isk. It was an old order. Proton Power bought around 40 million isk worth from me even though there were other sell orders for much less. I will see if it is still on my wallet so I can screen cap it.

While this doesn't work on sell orders, there is one case where you can get someone selling stuff to your buy order, even though there is another buy order with higher price. And this is if the order with a higher price has stated a minimum amount of more than one and the one selling the stuff sold only one. In that case the closest order that accepts one item will take it.
Given, this doesn't happen very often, I almost never see buy orders with minimum amounts.

Edited by: Vossejongk on 18/05/2010 18:42:12 Ah I found the error
Guy put up the order in a station wich is almost never used for selling stuff, with the station's name beeing fairly similar to where I sell mine, hence my brain messed up xD ----------------------------------------------- EVE Gate:

Trust me, no one is gonna know you're selling your rigs in Lustrevik from this description. The later hint "with the station's name being fairly similar" isn't even needed.

If you're not in Lustrevik, you're not in a mission hub.
You might be in Eystur or Pator, but the agents there aren't as good and they have less NPCs killed between them than Lustrevik alone. Of the three systems, Lustrevik is also the one which has the best market.
You can't be 'about 6 jumps' to the other side of Rens because that part of the region is pretty much deserted.

Not really a hub. The market in Emolgranlan isn't that good and it has only one good agent (the best agent in Minmatar space, actually). It is next to low-sec, which scares a lot of missionrunners away, I guess they don't know that that agent never actually sends you to low sec.
Also Emolgranlan only has two stations, with very different names, so there couldn't be any confusion about that.

Actually it is already the case the Vir Horn can send you into lowsec - it doesn't happen very often but it does happen, something on the order of 1-2% chance.
