New Eden Research (NER) is an alliance dedicated to providing industrialists with a fast and reliable way of conducting ME and PE research.
How does it work?
Several corps in the alliance have POS-based labs, which have been configured to allow alliance usage. A researcher within the alliance can make use of the labs simply by docking on one of the stations in the system, renting a corp office, and remotely managing research jobs from there, making use of the Scientific Networking skill.
The procedure is fully automatic, and works just like it would with NPC research labs, except a player gets paid for the research instead of an NPC, you don't have to wait weeks for a free slot, and on top of that, the labs are 25% faster than the NPC equivalent.
How much does it cost?
Since we have several corporations providing the lab service, prices can vary slightly from one to another. You can check our prices per location here. Note that only ME and PE prices exist, because those are the only lab types that work through the alliance.
In addition to the lab prices, there's a recurring fee of 2 million ISK per month per corp (or 10 million per POS corp), to cover the alliance's maintenance fee.
How do I sign up for your services?
1. First, you need to send an application to join the alliance by going to Corporation -> Alliance -> Rankings and right-clicking New Eden Alliance, selecting the "apply to join" option. Then send Tamia Clant a mail stating that you wish to join, as well as 2 million ISK to cover your first month. (if you wish to join as a lab provider, contact Tamia Clant prior to sending the application or ISK, as lab corps are accepted on a case-by-case basis)
2. Once inside the alliance, choose a system from our lab list as your base of operations and rent an office there at one of the stations.
3. Put the BPOs in the office hangar and select a type of research to perform. (To research you'll need Scientific Networking level 1)
4. When selecting the installation to research from, set Range as "Current Solarsystem" and Type as "Alliance". The alliance labs will then show up on the list, select them as you would with NPC labs. Once research is done, the BPOs will appear back at your corp hangar, researched.

As far as NER goes we are still open and accepting new corps!
Our name however is not so good. As most of you might have noticed, New Eden Research has been murdered!! Murdered by CCP! 
As soon as the server comes back up I will have to do some checking, but I am aware there is a corp with the name of New Eden Research and I believe that our name was eaten with the deployment of EVE Gate since there would have been 2 identical names.
My our petitions be successful and the NER name can be be reborn.

Just make sure you pick the PENGR slots to get the cheaper 14,000 per hour rate

Not sure about the rest of the alliance but i've made sure to protect my assets well.Provided the owner of the pos is not afk for more then few days i don't see how someone can really lose their pos.Plus the research is done trough npc owned station so no harm can come to the researchers.Any lost research time will be refunded.

Well right now we don't have any labs in Domain so I'm not sure what the demand for that region would be. I haven't had anyone ask about labs there, but we are still accepting several new corps a week.

Ladies and gentlemen,
I have just in the past few day taken over the pos and corp called "Corp of Moo" which is 1 jump from jita. I am in the process of updating the labs adding more and i have lowered the price below the avg, cost as a opening special for the time being. I am online a fair bit and can do copy work and build those items for you at a good price with your supplied materials. I am in the next two weeks opening up a further pos in 'EBO' doing much the same as the one already in play. Special deals and other arrangements are always just an ask away, so don't be shy and i will catch you all around the sand pit.
I am waiting on a access to the web page to update my details, will i hope not too long.

I paid it. If I was wrong in doing so, will you make it right. Or will you explain the charge to me? I'm not a cheapskate, obviously - since I paid it, but want to know.

You paid it? That explains what happened last month. Anyone in alliance can pay that bill, but only New Dawn Corp should. Contact Aru Arusdotr in-game and I'll get you reimbursed. Unless you want credit for 50 months membership.

Sure looks like your corp is a part of NER. Looks like you got a month or so left according to the website. Maybe you might want to retract your statement?
Don't know when it was accepted nor am I a member of management but I have a corp in the alliance and I have nothing but nice things to say about them. I have been with them for 4 months now. I have never had an issue with finding an empty ME or PE slot. Prices are acceptable for whats offered.
I haven't had an issue with communicating with the Alliance leadership nor with any of the member corps. Maybe I'm just lucky or something. All I know is they aint scammed me and I don't see any other posts complaining about them.
Lot's of slots available and it's well worth the tiny price of admission.

Id just like to say that these guys are a wonderful bunch and manage a very difficult task very well. The only real risk is to the POS owners during wars other than that its about as safe as you can get in eve (only exception being to never log in).

Greetings!
Former alliance member here considering a return to NER, setting up a research POS In Gallente space near Dodixie. My question is, how's the alliance doing? The website is pretty out of date. Are any POS Owners still doing this and are they covering fuel costs with rentals? And how's the war dec situation been the last few months?
We are likely putting up a research POS regardless but if there are enough members looking to rent around Dodixie (Everyshore, Sinq regions) we would consider a bigger tower with more labs and returning to NER. I'd appreciate hearing from members about the current status of NERs labs.

Is NER still active? The last edit on the OP is May 2010...?
I have a 2-lab POS in Tash,and would consider building out a larger one if the business is there.
