I've just created a second account and have begun running missions with both characters. They are in different corps, but are obviously fleeted up for the mission.
My assumption had been that being in the same fleet would allow either character to loot and/or salvage any wreck that was created while they were fleeted. That doesn't seem to be the case though.
Some of the wrecks I'm allowed to loot, others I get told I'm stealing. This happens when one character is docked or when both characters are on site. It appears to happen for wrecks created when both characters were present and for wreck created while the looter was docked. I can't seem to find the commonality that I'm missing.
Anybody able to explain what I'm missing?
Thanks

Edited by: Gunnanmon on 21/05/2010 15:18:53 It can only be described as a bug. I read that if you set each char to +10 standings to one another it stops this issue, but don't recall if I tried it or not.
It makes no sense the way it currently "works".
Edit - you could always ignore the warning, too. Check the little reminder box and forget about it. Signature locked for discussing moderation. Navigator

Thanks. I wondered if the standings thing would do it so I set them but haven't tested yet, we'll see this weekend.
I also did ignore the warning and went ahead with the loot. I was just concerned about running into someone from my main's corp who didn't know who I was and just saw the "free to shoot sign"... ;)

Shooting rights are only corp-wide when you're in a player corp. If the main is in an NPC corp, only that character will get shooting rights.

setting standing at +10 will allow to loot freely. not sure about tractor, tho. ________________________________ : Forum Bore 'Em : Foamy The Squirrel |

Fleeted and the wreck owner is in space in the same system. There seems to be some sort of bug that if the owner docks and the other attempts to loot a wreck they get a warning, but they still get a warning for that wreck when the owner gets into space again.
In the fleet, the wreck owner is the mission owner. I've never tried out of fleet with a different corp, I'd presume the owner is whoever wins loot on the rat then.

I am just posting to confirm that setting standings to +10 on both characters work...
But...
Keep in mind that although you will get "privileges" to loot/salvage wrecks, you must be very careful not to shoot them...
My friend accidentally shot one of the wrecks in my mission and he got concorded few seconds later :P
