So I just got the latest promotional email in my inbox. I have a few problems with it, though.
EON "Issue #001 to #018 now just $7." I'm assuming this is $7 each issue. The promo isn't really clear, though. It sounds like the whole set is only $7. An ad should always be clear and not ambiguous. Customer shouldn't have to investigate on their own to find out what you mean.
"Plus P&P until 1st June." Pardon my ignorance but wtf is P&P? Ads shouldn't use abbreviations that aren't well known (like EU and USA). Is this talking about postage? If so, remember you're talking to an international audience. In the United States postage is referred to as Shipping and Handling (S&H) but I wouldn't expect someone in Europe or Asia or Australia to necessarily know that.
CCP, you might want to have a chat with your advertising agency.

Look at me! I found something else to ***** about!
is that all people do these days? Find the tiniest little things to nitpick CCP for? The big stuff sure, but does not liking a promotional email really constitute it's own whine thread?
There's a delete button on your email, use it and spare the rest of us from posts like these.

Whining about whining, you get the hypocrite award. At the very least, my criticism is constructive and if someone from CCP takes a minute to read my post they may realize that their advertising needs to be tweaked. I was actually interested in what the email was advertising, but I found the whole thing to be so unclear as to be a waste of time. *****ing about nerfs and buffs aside, I'd think CCP would actually be interested to hear if their advertising dollar wasn't being spent in the most effective manner.

My main complaint about that email is not so much its contents, but that:
CCP HAS GIVEN MY EMAIL ADDRESS TO A 3RD PARTY!!
Giving my email address to another company who then starts sending spam to me is completely UNACCEPTABLE!

They were a little vague with the price but P&P is well known in Europe, which is where Iceland is.
You can't expect them to write the mail to suit everyone otherwise it'll be a mile long with all the stuff they'd have to cram in to make sense.

What crap. I have never, nor will I ever, fit inside a packet of peanuts.

P&P = Postage and packaging.
You even worked out that it was likely to be so, which means the add can't be that bad (not read it yet myself).

Peanuts aren't nuts. The sign is valid. Your comparison is flawed.
