A Thanatos carrier is 1000000m3 packaged. A Charon freighter level 5 can carry 1000001 m3. Can a freighter transport a carrier or is thier restrictions? If a freighter can carry a carrier can it jump thru gates or is thier restrictions?

I don't know, i don't think so, but i vote yes!
It does make sense: it's not assembled, so why not?
If there are restrictions, they should be changed.

the way you calculate it is that you take the base cargo: 785000 and then do it 5 times 1.05 so you get 785000*1.05*1.05*1.05*1.05*1.05=1001881 (I believe you do it like this)
but the bonus does not stack instead it is being aplied this way 785000*1.25=981250 and that is under 1 million

when frieghters was first comming out, i am sure all had cargo bays of over 1m m3. player based luled at the fact youcould repackage a dread/carrier and bring it back to empire.
ccp did not like this so they made the cargo hold smaller.

Charon level 5 is 981,250m3. So the answer is no. FYI there is NO way to bring a carrier into hisec that isn't already there (and subject to very specific CCP rules; Google Veldnaught). Freighters, JFs, Carrier, moms, and Titans cannot be moved without assembling and piloting them. |

They did,and were nerfed to have below that amount,and it was mostly not to allow dreads or carriers to be built in high sec empire,or move them within high sec empire at all,using freighters.
Even then,the best candidate was the charon,since it could exceed 1 million M3 cargo with the skill trained to lvl 2,which is why i bought a BPO back in the day and produced Charons for sale for quite a while,until the nerf was made a couple of months later,which kinda screwed my business...

The only way to get a carrier into hi-sec is to have it disappear from you account due to a bug, then petition to have to given back to you.
When items are returned, you will go into the hangar of the whatever station you are in.
A few players have acquired hi-sec capitals like this.
