Loads around. There actually is a test complex in Emrayor but i have not been to that so dont know what to expect, but there is a lvl 1 in Armala
As for lvl 2 i have found a few in alra, Boriani and tolle.
Make sure you have shows beacons in your overview settings and always have it open when you fly around. In my experience i have noticed that loads of systems have a complex so you should soon find some.
A sensible word of warning - especially to noobs - is that always beware. You can go to a few complexes that are often visited by peeps and not see many rats (as they are regularly thinned out), and get a false sense of security. You can then go to a complex that has not been visited by anyone for a few days and be completely overwhelmed. TBH this usually only happens with higher level bases so dont let it put you having a looksy as you usually have time to jump in, and warp away if it looks too much for you. .

There's no such thing as an easy complex. A friend and I have been doing Level 2 complexes in our frigs but are yet to complete one.
The first 2 parts of the complex are fine, its just the 4 battleships in the final part that are a preverbial pain in the arse!!!

As a general guideline, you'll find difficulty level 1 complexes in 1.0 systems. Level 2's can be found in 0.9 & 0.8 sec level systems.
As mentioned above, make sure beacons are displaying in your overview, and you can check the system in no time.
BTW: They are great fun... make sure you take your time to blow up some of the larger structures...

Firstly, I have a hard time believing that there are battleships in a lvl 2 complex let alone 4 of them.
But a good complex to try and go through solo are lvl 3 ones. Its is easy in a cruiser(I rarely ever lose my shield) and you can get good isk too, roughly 4.5 million per trip if you clear both routes.

In Eredan, which is in Devoid, there is a level 1, training complex. Check it out! Just me, Bad |

Edited by: Mrissa Easeah on 09/12/2004 23:50:47 Rogue drone level 2's are pretty fun in a good rifter, and they're all over. One in Pucherie I think. Scattered throughout Lonetrek and Forge too.
I was waiting for BC skill to finish training before I picked up my Ferox, and out in a 'travel' rifter, made from spare parts at one of our corp's hangers.
Crud for setup. 2x small missile launchers with Kinetics and EM 1x beam laser (orange crystal I think). 1x nosferatu.
1x AB *can't remember if it was oversized, I don't think so* 1x Tracking Disrupter
1x MAPC 1x Small armor repairer
*laughs* Managed to kill all the drones at entry and all the rooms except the last, since I left when my skill finished and I had looted all the cans and the Overseer's bundle.
I killed most, but still left about 2-3 heavies and a couple rogue light drones in the last room.
Was a blast, and only got into armor once, and repaired that mid mission.

Careful, a rouge drone lvl 2 complex ripped my punisher apart in seconds, and sent my coercer back to starbase for repairs once before I completed it.
Not to say they aren't possible in a frigate, just be careful, that's all.

Have a look at the Angel Creo-corp mining ones in Altrinur or Illinfrik. 5 BS's on the third level

I get the feeling that is probably a bug then. Would have to bring in quite a few frigs to take out 1 let alone 5 BSs

Edited by: Elithiomel on 10/12/2004 11:03:32 The Angel Creo corp in Altrinur can be done with an Enyo, solo.
I lost my first one when the entire final spawn went hostile on me at once, but if you can pull the battleships off the spawn one by one it is doable.
The Gist Commanders (armor tanked) are not too much trouble, it is the Gist General (shield tanked) that takes time to wear down.
With 2 Enyo's the final level would be a lot easier as you could probably fit 10M ab's and get a bit of range on the spawn for repairing. As it was I had to warp out of the complex 3 times when i made mistakes pulling off the battleships. I had however prepared beforehand and made sure i had a hanger full of spare gate keys :) --------------------------------------------- Engineers motto; If it doesn't fit, force it. If it breaks it needed replacing anyway. |

Lost a Rifter and Kestrel in a level 3 rogue drone complex a couple of days after Exodus launched. Went back in a Punisher with a 400mm plate and cleaned up, loads of fun.

Tried a level 3 rogue drone (Adiere I think) last night flying a Thrasher covered in 200mm autocannons. Only mediocre gunnery skills (level 3 projectile, level 1 destroyer) - cleaned out the first couple rooms, last room I got all but 4 drones, looted all the worthwhile cans, and ran dry on ammo - got out with some structure damage. 2000 rounds (at those skill levles) wasn't nearly enough to finish the complex completely off, but I did alright.
Thrasher 7x 200mm Autocannons (Titanium ammo) 1x Std Missile Launcher (Kinetic, what was available on short notice)
1x Medium Shield Booster 1x 10mn Afterburner 1x Webber
1x Power Diagnostic 1x Damage Mod
A couple additional levels of destroyer skill and taking projectiles to 4 or 5 would have made an immense difference.
You can't really 'outrun' the drones with this setup, but you can at least get them strung out in a row. Travel far enough and some will lose interest and head back to the nest sometimes. I noticed that when you focus on one while trying to run away, it eventually drops back out of small turret range and another takes its place, which can get deadly over time if you keep switching targets. Best to eliminate them one at a time, as fast as possible - concentrate firepower.
Better to get a -small- number isolated enough to orbit one, webbing it, and pound the snot out of it, but Ripper drones (I think) are so bleedin' fast that with the skills and setup above, even webbed, it was a pain in the butt to hit it with anything but the missile launcher.
The heavy drones in the complex went down -fast- under the hail of slugs the 200mm's laid down.

I took on a 2/10 complex last night in Ono, and made it to room 3.
On warping in, I immediately was set upon by an Osprey, which went down quickly under the withering fire of my 4 launchers. I thought that would have been the most difficult part of the area, as all I could immediately see were Condors. I dispatched of them quickly, then realized that another Osprey awaited me. I took him down as well, but by this time my shields were beginning to falter. Immediately after dispatching the Osprey, I encountered a Blackbird, and even though I destroyed him, he still took my Kestrel (the Ghost Red) down.
Overall, I'm not going to try the complex again until I train up Navigation skills so I can keep the range on the cruisers. I might bring a few friends as well. --------------------------------------------------
