Well in hindsight perhaps quite so many explitives weren't so nessary. I'd just watched Archain kill a buddy. And thought I'd do a bit of shouting as I couldn't do any shooting. So apologie's for the un-kind words Archain (Zorneesh eats some of his words). Ship theft, however, I see now is perhaps something I ought consider investing in. Listening to you all go on about it I'm resigned to say 'If you can't beat em, join em' and get some long range sensors.

i kept a nice apoc at a safespot fitted for mining
but one night it was stolen  but u know what i did?
i flew back to a station and picked another one up
from my hangar. i left the other one in mid space and i knew
the risk so i got over it  if you are 2 laZy
to fly the ship back to station its ur own damn fault
im not trying to be mean, but posting this crap! yes crap

I'm sorry to hear you took loosing your ships as a personal blow. As you are aware, game mechanics were recently introduced to find ships in space (ships could be found earlier, but it was more tricky and time consuming).
If you feel this is an injustice I suggest you contact the eve-online support department with a formal complaint for a change of the game structure regarding these issues at [email protected].

at every planet you can click add bookmark and get the coordinates for that place. Then open up your AutoCad software and enter teh coordinates in (tip: don't use all 12 or however many digits, place a decimal point before the 6th digit and completely cut off the last three it makes autocad work better).
Then use the distance scan (don't even need directional) to triangulate the position of the safespotted ships, if done right you can get the spot to within 1000km which equals nothign when finding a safe spot.
Back to autocad, figure out where may be the best planets/gates to warp between to find the ships (tip use the slice command).
Or use the probes they give you now I guess.
It took me 5 hours to find a safe spot where I had to make 2 mid warp "waypoints" and then find the safespot in between those 2 waypoints, so I had to go back and forth bookmarking 3 times.
