Just realized that forced Antialiasing no longer works after patch. HDR off, hd5870, Win7 64bit.
Anyone else getting the same thing? Is there a workaround?

Same here, back to my old, jagged ships.
Seems a bit daft implementing a huge graphical update to planets and cutting off the AA.

With 197.45 on 8800 GTS I can only force AA with both HDR AND Bloom turned off.....it seems they ****ed up the bloom with AA

EDIT : I am using the 10.4 drivers. 10.5 have been released, maybe try them. ------------------------------------- The system issues man. |

Try enabling HDR, while you may not 100% like the effect it worked for me.

same issue here. no aa after patch. before everything works fine.

It was sad to find out that AA didnt work after patch. But fortunately I found an answer here. Thank you Thadeus Funk =) Now, its not only HDR that is needed to be disabled, but also BLOOM. With both disabled Nvidia forced AA works good.

Same here.
Disabling Bloom and HDR in game enables me to force AA and HRD using Nhancer.
WinXp, GeForce 9800 GT, drivers 186.18, Nhancer 2.5.1.
Lork what 10.4 drivers are you referring to? Current Nvidia graphics drivers are 197.45

Edited by: Tornicks on 09/08/2010 18:09:15 I have both bloom and HDR disabled, just updated my nVidia Geforce 9500 GT driver to the latest version, installed the nHancer application and tried 16x and 32x multisampling antialiasing for EVE. Made a couple of screens to compare the image and it seems that there is no improvement of jagged lines at all. Anybody has ideas what the reason might be?

actually i retract. It does in fact no longer work at least in window mode. I have not tried fullscreen yet

get an nvidia card. Anyone in the industry knows ati has failed for the past 10 years. 70% of video related issues end up being due to ati's new drivers.

Hello Forum,
I think we all should stand up and stress CCP till they release in Game Anti Aliasing at least for Direct 3D 10.1+, if trinity uses deffered rendering, which I think so.
It is simply absoutely fail to release an engine/game wich does works so bad with external forcemethods or generally without ingame FSAA, at least MS.
So guys, use your power to force CCP to do that. We are the consumers. Greetings Tux.Fighter |
