Is the Mac patch on a separate server or something? I autopatched two of my three PC's already, and the Mac patch isn't even 50% downloaded yet..
3rd PC is almost 50% downloaded already? what gives? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [GNSTR]

Mac Auto-patcher is broke. It's been patched in the new patch, so, until you patch, it will be bloody damn slow :)
Download it manually from here. Will be a lot faster.

Yeah, it really really really sucks. So I quit the autopatch (seeing as last time it failed for me anyway wasting a ton of time) and I downloaded the manual patch. But, of course, like last time I can't get the autopatch to work. So #%$! it, I'm downloading the client again ... at least I know after two plus hours it will work.
(Oh yeah, and at least give us the torrent download option that's available for PC's .... )

Did you manage to get the manually downloaded patch to work? If so, how?

Assuming you're using (snow) leopard , all you have to do it download the manual patch here. Make sure you select from the drop down menu your current client version. Once the download is complete, you can unzip it and run the patch program that results. It will ask you to locate "EVE Online.app" through a finder window. Once you complete this step it will finish the patch for you. There's no message saying patch complete, but it should be successful when you run the client.
Hope this helps :) -----

Hi,
This issue was resolved with todays patch. So from now on you should be able to patch like the wind in future patches and expansions.
Patch note: Download speed of updates will no longer be unnecessarily constrained by the EVE client architecture.

Auto patch has failed, manual patch has failed : both with the enigmatic message that "some files have changed!!". This has happened before but I always live in hope that the autopatch will work (and sometimes it does). Does this mean a full re-install?

A reinstall of the client is the best way to resolve this.
On topic, did your notice the difference today?

Edited by: CK Terson on 03/06/2010 02:26:58 ok. at this point im kind of spamming the mac/sisi forums about this, but now that sisi and tq are running the same builds, i cant follow the instructions as per http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Mac_Bug_Reporting
i am not able to save changes to the Info.plist file, as i do not have read & write privelages to the volume. "Get Info" and unlocking and all that jazz does nothing, i cant change permissions on the eve online installer volume. Ive contacted mac tech support for this issue and they seriously had nothing, which led us back to it being an eve client issue.
Anyone running sisi on mac yet?

Yes Casqade, it was a lot quicker and only took a few moments to download...

I don't even know how to 'start' the autopatcher or where to get it from....
But you can download a manual patch here: http://games.chruker.dk/eve_online/server_status.php --- Buchrezensionen We all gonna die someday! |

I strongly advice against using a third party site to provide you with links to or the patches themselves. Manual patches can be found on the Eveonline.com website too: http://www.eveonline.com/patches/patches.asp
1. Click EVE Download on the navigation bar to the left 2. Click EVE Patches 3. Etc.
This thread is getting derailed from the original issue raised , so I will have this locked. If you have any issue with the new patch, start a new thread or use the patch feedback thread in the information portal.
