Robert Caerise	Posted - 2010.05.26 22:52:00 - [1] Including tyrannis, it started the repairtool after it finished and now i'm downloading 410 MBs worth of fixes. Anyone else get fails just about every patch? All I can say is thank God for the repair tool, I was getting tired of overnight downloading so I could reinstall the whole client every time an expansion came out. Minor updates seem to work fine though.
Opus Raptor	Posted - 2010.05.26 23:06:00 - [2] Count yurself lucky. Tyrannis update screwed my whole install. Now having to download and re-install the whole damn client. 3 and 1/2 hours at my DSL speed.

TorDog	Posted - 2010.05.26 23:24:00 - [10] Check the "Archive extraction failed" thread. Seems uninstall did not completely clean up one users eve folder. When he did that install went fine. I'm still waiting for full client download so I have no idea yet if I'll run in to simialar issues or not.

Minor updates seem to work fine though. Don't count on that repair tool to fix your problem.. I'm the same boat as you. Every patch fails for me Can't patch the game :(. Keeps failing, always fails every time there is a patch :( It keeps saying the client is corrupt. However, the repair client tool fines nothing wrong. Then I log into the game, get to the auto patch, fails, runs repair client tools and looky it finds something missing or corrupts, d/l's a few hundred files, .... Basically, wash, rinse, repeat. Gonna have to d/l the whole client AGAIN and re-install. :(((( All I really want to know is WHY???????????

Do all of us that are having issues have a sisi client installed or did anyone with a sisi client installed on their machine get a clean patch? Just curious

Uninstalled, Downloaded, Re-Installed three times now and I can login just fine, I just can't get to the Damn character selection screen! Game ran fine on my piece of ** HP, but not my brand new Alienware? WTF? I'm sick of the lack of support here, If you (CCP) weren't ready to make the release, than put the damn expansion off for another week, don't screw everybody over like this. Nice Mature Business Ethics here..... I guess we'll see how it pans out and hopefully quickly at that. It would be a shame to leave an awesome game for a while until everything is fixed due to ****ation and survey says, "Consumers like garbage!" give it to them anyways.
TorDog	Posted - 2010.05.27 00:52:00 - [17] I still can not get update to work. Trying uninstall atm but uninstall is taking forever. What is puzzling me a little is I just installed sisi client a few days ago by copying dominion build and updating. Worked like a champ. Now the very folder I copied will not update. I'm sure they tweaked a few things in the last week but still seems a bit odd.

Minor updates seem to work fine though. almost 90% of the time these problems are from people who download the patch torrents and install to prep for the uptime and then descover that there is a small change and it screwes up your client.. honestly sense 03 i have never once had this sort of a problem and almost 75% or more of the people i knw who understand how patch'n a client works and what the wait is worth etc also dont have these problems.. i fyou are having the same problems on all the patches then maybe you need to look at the constant in thish issue.. your pc.. have you saved error logs and supplied CCP with something tangable to work with?? how have you been proactive or do you care to disclose more details about your experiancce.. otr then patch broke your client and every patch fails.. your a small % of the player base and if this is constant i sugest you figure out what yoru doing wrong.. your topic = instant distain for your opinion..

I noticed someone said something about having the stream client installed. I have to wonder how many of us have stream, and if it is related to the auto-patcher failing everytime. (though i RARELY have it running)... I've wiped the client and reinstalled after the tarranis update, and 0.1 patch borked. same with 0.2 and now 0.3. Might have to dig through document files and delete everything related to eve? (thanks alot.. I hate setting up overviews..) -crash
