Tranquility will need to be brought down briefly while we apply a fix. We will take Tranquility offline at 01:30 UTC and we expect to be back online by 02:00 UTC. Our apologies about the inconvenience.

Erm, not to be a nuisance, but why is it that 22,079 of my fellow capsuleers are allowed to login to the server, yet I get a server status of "not accepting connections." Seems a bit biased...

Figures...a few hours of download a whole new install 'cause the previous patch i tried was corrupt and screwed me over....and my backup copy was out of date. finally done and ......now I have to wait till the servers back up ^^.

Well, they did say that they were rebooting to apply a hotfix, which means they had to take the cluster down, load the new code, do a test to make sure they didn't bugger it up even more, then bring it all back up. It's not like rebooting Windows.

you are correct though although I doubt for a hotfix they downed all 10000+ nodes, that would take ALOT more than 30 min to reboot.
