Edited by: Daivey Crokite on 27/05/2010 12:29:11 I tried to look at the positives of yesterday patch, but I could not find any. What exactly did this new patch add other then 1 day of not being able to play EVE?
Did it fix low sec and make it more interesting? No, not really. Did it add any new ships? No, not really. Did it give carebears any new reason to leave the confines of high security? No, not really.
OMG, did you say I can now build silly bases on planets? Oh ya I almost missed that part.
I read in CCPs dev blog that CSM members and EVE players complain that CCP adds new stuff and then just lets it dry up. Well no really? There are so many things that can be tweaked in this game that would make it so much better without adding a damn thing, but CCP refuses to do this.
My question is why?
Is planetary interaction what players wanted? For god sakes it barely adds any new layers to the game. I am now a sad panda.

Fixed insurance? Hardly. Instead of losing 2 mil on a BS you lose what, 10 now? Ouch, thats going to hit the pockets ooo so so so hard. Also, is that something that really needed an "expansion to fix." This could have been done over night instead of waiting ages to do it. Kind of sad to use that as an excuse for the "greatness of this patch."
I guess it will be another year till we see something relevant released. Are we better off with this new patch? Absolutely not.

Want to know what "fixing" insurance did?
No more solo, or small group PVP. Welcome to carebear blob new eden. If insurance as a big a deal as you lot seem to make it, then people will not be as careless to lose their ships. This means EVEN MORE blob warfare.
How exactly is that good for EVE? By ruining insurance payout you are actually taking people out of PVP. I thought the reason for EVE was because it had the best PVP system in any MMO. Doesn't seem to be the case any more. I guess people are suppose to quit PVP and go carebear in empire now? OR wait for it... Wait for it.....
quit PVP for planetary interaction.. OH SNAP.

That you missed the point of the fix does not invalidate the fix.

No-one mentioned this patch even being good.

Perhaps following up your ignorance of the expansion you are complaining about and you ignorance of what was written in this very thread with a baseless attempt to state what you believe to be true as fact will make you right.
But it probably won't.

How are you going to tell us when you blatantly have no clue yourself?

Edited by: Daivey Crokite on 27/05/2010 13:21:04 The only good thing to come to low sec is level 5s. And unless you got a corp with a few carriers, good luck doing level 5s. That is beyond the scope of any carebear.
As for fresh meat into low sec to "mine those planets". Ya right. Wasn't the idea of introducing level 5s and faction wars to bring people into low sec? How exactly has EVE changed in terms of people living in low sec? Not much.
the carebears that want PVP joing Caldari Navy faction anyway so that they can go to Jita and also run their level 4's in Motsu.
There is still a huge spread in the player base. 0.0 or high sec, and very little in low sec. Planet interaction isn't going to change much.
And all the lucrative POS's are either owned by aliances from 0.0 or, from the nearby pirate corps. Not too many POS's are being run by "nubs" which means I highly doubt noobs are going to be running alot of low sec planets.

LOL improvement to lag and fleet battles, ya okay.
Thanks for nerfing kick out stations too.
Oh thanks for fixing the agression bug as well.. you know the one where you agress someone in one system, JUMP OUT and no longer have an agression count down and can log off without being probed?? LOL
Things get better and better in eve I guess.
