cant really counter one without some good luck.
to force a vaga away a shield buffered nanoed-autocane works, as does a huginn or lach.
anything thats got 2 medium nuets, 50k ehp decent damage and a scram will be able to kill it if it gets in range.....
some people say a well flown deimos can do it, for the sole purpose of killing a vaga i wouldnt buy one lol.

Another Vagabond with a better fit, higher amount of SP, and/or a more skilled pilot.

Please pardon the prissy overtones that will be found throughout this letter, but the reservoir from which CCP draws its lickspittles is primarily the masses of revolting enemies of the people. |

Fine, if we're being pedantic.
Tempest and Dominix for obvious reasons. Or any other ship which has enough EHP and DPS to kill the Vaga first once it's been scrambled. Anyways, depends on pilot skill and if the Vaga pilot screws up and gets within 13km.

Hurricane or Myrmidon, Ishtar, or any properly fit battleship.
If you want something that is gallente and minmatar, Cynabal.

Edited by: FoxyLuv on 27/05/2010 16:04:01 Edited by: FoxyLuv on 27/05/2010 16:03:29 Tempest /typhoon/domi with 2x heavy neut , mwd , web and 24km point.. if vaga goes into neut range hes ****ed unless he can manage to drift out of it again somehow...
if fight starts at 0km even a rifter/jag/wolf/etc with an ab scram and nos(if he got a neut) can kill a vaga unless he can manage to dock or jump out |

Erebus and Ragnarok both work pretty well. I have never seen either one lose to a Vagabond.

You want a gallente/minmatar counter to vagabond?
How about gallente + minmatar? Machariel/Cynabal.

Tell me more about this Vagabond countering Deimos? I damn sure would buy one if it could reliably counter a Vaga.

Countering doesnt typically mean "kill", but rather "remove from the field".
Deimos gets actually pretty impressive damage output on guns alone at 24km when TE-fitted with the perfect damage type, and Vagabonds do not like ECM drones at all.
So yea, it can reliably counter a Vaga, but not reliably kill it.

Awww, I was really hoping for a new and interesting way to farm Vaga kills. I guess I'm more interested in the Cynabal kills since nobody actually flies Vagas anymore.
