So there I was logging into Eve Tyrannis for the first time, and then it hit me...
I have been away a short while and don't have a clue what this new "expansion" actually adds to the game...
So I go buy 4 new skills, I see some structure blueprints on the market (but no Command Centres???), I see my corp logo is punked, I fly to a planet and zoom in looking at it for a bit...pretty, but meh, its a game of join the dots for some pretty pointless trade goods (new passive ISK?).
I do literally 2 jumps and then my old friend 'Socket Error' forces me to relog.
I relog, but can't see anything new or worthwhile in terms of gameplay so I set the skill planner going and log out.
I guess I'm just left scratching my head. This PI "expansion" seems to not even be available (Command Centres?) yet; other than that - Whats new? Am I missing out on the new fun stuff?
It just seems like the same old rubbish to me so I need your help identifying what is worth logging in for again? Should I wait until Winter?

They re-used the wormhole graphic effect again, slightly modified and applied it to the suns
Seriously, this graphic effect is used in 4 different events, ccp's graphics team is sorely lacking i have to say... the new planets, while looking worlds better then before, are still behind if you consider the graphics of other games, or even STO for that matter (no i hate sto dont even start with me)
The missing particle system that they've posted screenshots of like a year ago... where is that?
What happened to my engine trails? Sure it might have been causing performance issues, so why not add a Disable checkbox and let me decide? Or just ****in fix them?
Notice how nice the planet looks on the title screen? this is how the planets should really look in-game.
PI is just an isk fountain designed to give noobs more money so they're willing to risk more in 0.0. Its not a bad idea, but its overhyped, and i think everyone was expecting a LOT more. Of course, the rest of PI is coming (soon tm etc)

No you can't have my stuff, its all sitting there waiting to be sold for PLEX for another year or two of "play".
The suns? I just checked them out - have the changed? I guess they hurt the eyes a little less...
Can you actually do anything at them though? You know like you can with PI? *cough* ...oh wait...
As tempting as it is to buy a Small POS blueprint a start manufacturing useless stuff that is still seeded on the market, I think I might hang fire on that...
Honestly - what is new? Are there a bunch of new "epic" missions even? *goes back to scratching head*
