Ok guys, I'll get this out here first... I'm a 'noob', and a stupid one... now I'm stuck..
Have been happily running L3s in a passive Drake for a few weeks, last night I hit the bottle and woke up this morning to find out I had:
a) sold it
b) spent almost every penny I've saved on a Raven
Now, my first thoughts were I could easily just fit everything I had on my Drake and would hopefully be flying a similar ship. Then I found out my old passive tank fir was half as effective (I've read why already), now I have no money and a relatively bad ship.. Stupid I know.
Now what would you do,
a) Sell the Raven for 65-72mill and re-buy: Drake + Insurance + Rigs (40mill) therefore making a huge (for me) loss.
b) Try and find a really substandard fit which could hopefully see me through L3's (bearing in mind I cant afford to insure it). How to start figuring out how to fit it is beyond me... I don't have the skills to make it an active tank, and wont do for a long time.
Any advice would be appreciated

bearing that it's real super failfit you can do L3's easy in the Raven and gets some more isk for better mods. Hell, fit t1. But where you intending to do L4's, it's sounds a bit like you were going to loose the Raven on the first L4. So actually, the booze saved you isk mate :)

Cruise missile launchers, a nos and a DLA in the highs.
Large or XL shield booster, shield boost amp and hardeners in the mids - when your skills get better, drop 1 or 2 hardeners for a target painter.
3 BCS in the lows, a DC and whatever else you want down there.
3x CCC rigs.
If you take that into an L4, be aligned and ready to warp out, the raven is very squishy in the hands of sub-7 million SP. Very squishy.

@ OP if you're not confident enough to run L4s in it (it's wasted in L3s) just sell and get your drake back. don't rush into flying battleships.

Well I decided to be sensible and just go back to my old ship/fit... I was just enjoying going at my own pace, drink made me think I was better than I was, and Ive paid for it. 40 million is a lot for me to lose but at least I can slowly make it back again.. Thanks for the advice guys !
