Once again, I have trained all skills in EVE. This marks the 8th time I have achieved this goal, and this is the 6th time I was first to accomplish it. (Sorry for bragging, but, as many of you know, this is kind of my thing.)
- First to train every skill (397) May 29th, 2010 - First to train every skill (390) May 13th, 2009 - First to train every skill (360) November 13th, 2008 - First to train every skill (359) June 21st, 2008 - First to train every skill (147) May 2nd, 2004 - First to train every skill (79) Late 2003
Within a couple hours, they will all be trained to at least level 2, leaving me with 163 level 5 skills, 52 level 4, 44 level 3, and 138 level 2.
eveboard rankings (should update within the hour)
I'm sure Lord Darkness, Viggen, and Arthalion Thoidon will also finish adding Advanced Planetology within a matter of hours. Once again, we will be able to go back to training skills we actually use, instead of just collecting them...Something us skill collectors have spent very little time doing over the past 7 years. --- 396 of 397 skills trained.

Grats on once again being the first to train them all. WeŠll have another little race to the top again in a few months when the next expansion arrives.

ItŠll be monday untill I get the last one. I was a day late with installing the patch and planetology IV finishes in the middle of the night for me. And who says IŠll be training usefull stuff after that? I had the crazy idea of training to use all modules in game after training all skills*. Most of which I never use.
*My original goal wasn't even training all skills, it was training to fly all ships, which is nearly as expensive.

Congrats (again!) it's a pretty damn impressive achievement, one that I guess only a small section of the eve community will achieve ----------

Got my 397 skills now too, but was kinda hoping for 398 skills. But as always CCP just keep teasing us with that damn DED Connections skill by seeding it on Sisi, but never on TQ

This kind of only proves you are one of the people who have been playing for ten years constantly and plan your day around when new expansions are around. Impressive, but when you have only a handful of competitors, it gets slightly less so.

Nowhere near his age, but slowly working towards being one of those competitors. Along with many more people who have every skill, several who don't post about it, the competition grows everyday.

I might join the party as my objective for 2011 now that i think about it...Train all skills and get them to lvl 4 or lvl 5.
There's only about 80 skills to add,and most are low ranked ones anyhow.

One of my current aims is the slightly more modest "Use all non-capital mods in game". The problem is I don't know how I am doing. Every time I think I am getting close I find another mod I can't use. I was lookng at someone else's fitting the other day and noticed the covert cyno gen - *sigh* add it to the list.
SO my question is - short of going through every single item on the market, is there a quick way to see which mods I cannot use? Either in game or using EFT etc?
And last but not least - grats Tripoli. The trolls that don't get it, the blowing stuff up forum is other there -------->

Eve Mon can show you what you can't use... Open any skill plan and goto item browser tap, set filter to "Items i can't use" It will list all the items and what skills you still need to use them.
And Congratulations yet again Tripoli on obtaining all skills ingame. I'm still looking at 18 months to get the remaining 46 skills i don't have yet á

I used EVEMon to set up my skillplan, it's a great program for anything skill related. I don't know if you're familiar with EVEMon, so I'll quickly explain what I did. I started a new skill plan, went to the item browser, selected the items I couldn't use and added their requirements to my skillplan, EVEMon does that with a single right click.
Good luck with reaching your goal and have fun while doing so.

Some people like having the most ISK, some the highest kill/loss ratio, some the most BPOs. Then there are others who enjoy having skills that others can only dream of getting since they are no longer seeded and are almost impossible to find anymore.
Calculate the cost of all the skillbooks (4 titans alone are 18 billion) plus the unseeded skills such as mobile refinery operation, salvage drones, ect... then keep dreaming you had the ISK to blow on such "worthless stuff".

It's a game, the ultimate "end" to anything you do should be the enjoyment of the game. If he finds enjoyment and satisfaction from skill-training PvP, and he does it well, then yay for him.
Telling someone else how they should or shouldn't enjoy their game goes against the whole Sandbox thing.
Grats Trip!

I am, in fact, one of a few pilots who can fly every ship in the game. Every module? That's another story.
Since, once in a blue mooon, I find myself mining to pass the time, I've taken to maxing out all the skills in that area. I'm one level 5 skill away from being a perfect Orca pilot while my alt flies the Hulk. That skill will be finished within a few weeks (see my sig below).
Not yet decided what I'm going to work on after that. I have some use for training the last level of Caldari Freighter. It might cut down on the number of runs I have to make to Jita when I buy minerals for building my ships. Aside from that, there's really nothing left to train that affects anything I do.
At one point I started training all my level 2 skills up to level 3. Finishing that would only take a few months. I also played the level 5 skill game for a while, and I'm still in the top 10 on that list. I've tried to care about certificates, but they never can seem to hold my attention. Getting all the elite certificates would take even longer than training all skills did. I do have all the basic ones already. Being able to use all modules would be somewhat interesting. I haven't run the numbers on that, but I imagine it's no small task.
I'm open to suggestions. --- All 397 skills trained.

Thanks for the point to Evemon - I used it years ago but stopped using it. I see it has changed a bit since then!! So the answer is roughly 145 days - not too long. But is there really a "concord cloaking device"?!?
It may take me a little longer as I am also doing "all non-cap ships" (intertwining racial cruiser 5 with the mod skills) and "all basic, standard and advanced certs". Probably 18+ months for that lot! All 4 racial BS to 5 I can see being useful, but all 4 racial industrial to 5? And all those ore specs to 5 just depresses me! |

i've already decided that once i get the final 2 titan skill books,it's off to training all the remaining skills to lvl 4,so that all 397 skills will be at lvl 4 or lvl 5 by the end of 2011(rough estimate of course).

And now the 1 Million isk question:
Tripoli: Whats the 1 skill you wish was available to train in the game ?
Currently I wouldn't mind a skill que skill which for every lvl trained, gave you X amount of space in your skill que.
Also, IMO I would guess 30Mill sp is the max skills (generally) needed for a character. In my experience anyways, I've found that once my characters reach 30M they have nothing left to train. I have stopped training my 25M sp toon because he for the most part can't get any better at what he does. Although, each of my characters specializes in an area of the game. Pvp/pve vs. industry vs. trade/invention etc.
I made a 3.2 skillpoint character that was helping me make 40mill isk per hour. I'm convinced you don't need high skillpoint characters, instead you need focused training to specialize.
