This ****s me off.
When I'm typing in a chat window as I dock up, the focus shifts to the search field in the items/ships tab - not cool and very, very annoying.
Very frustrating as well when I go to clear it and my items/assets refuse to show up afterwards.
Don't steal my damn focus! Please.
Edit: There we go - when I click on my items tab it defaults to the search field - why? It's pointless. Please make it so the focus is on the main inventory field for ships/items.

Yep. This is how it used to work and it was broken in some previous patch. I also notice other windows stealing focus when I'm doing stuff, EG change a ship fitting, PLOP, market/assets windows (which I have stacked) jump to the front again. Very annoying. |

It's the devil! Why on earth does it default to the search field in items.
I just docked, and without touching or doing anything lo and behold I see the focus is on the search field. Why?
For the love of god CCP put a fix into the patch for this.

scrap the chat focus. i want my keyboard for shortcuts. if i want to chat, i'll use chat shortcut.
