This really shudnt be in the features and ideas area since it should already implemented.
TO CCP: Please for the love of all things holy let there be an option to freeze my account so that i dont waste my subscription time whilst theres no skills trainign due to me not having a computer.
OR!!!!
Atleast let me ****ing change skills on eve gate or something, pleeeeaaaase. Stop ****ing beating around the bush! This is what your customer thinks about you in this context:
CCP: "hmmm this guy cant change his skills but his subscription is still running, muahaha atleast he cant freeze his account so he'll just have to make up lsot time buy paying for another month muahaha *evil laugh*"
You see CCP, im not the first, im not the last to ask for this, implement it i will still subscribe another month to make up for lost time, but i will still think your all ****s.
p.s. unless you actually anable out-of-game skill changing then yeah i love you.

If you want an idea to be considered, you should go about it in a rational manner. I'm going to say no to both counts not only because of the way you acted, but because they don't encourage any gameplay whatsoever.

- Public internet cafT.
- Friend's computer.
- Online friend's computer.
- Family member's computer.
- Work computer.
- Family member taught how to set skills over the phone on their own computer.
CCP's solution has already been implemented in the form of a Skills Queue.

Or you may as well write a petition as to why you were unable to play. With a bit of luck and a friendly GM, you might get the game time reimbursed.

Look, you and your "we wont allow this out-of-game skill changing cuz ppl wont actualyl play eve", are you ******ed, me and any1 else who could still play eve and change skills IN eve WOULD still be playing eve. That is what i dont understand, if we could play eve, we would be playing it right now.
So that excuse is bul****e. I would still have to pay a minimum of a month subscription if i wanted to change my skill que, but i cant, therefore from the customers perspective the lack of this feature means CCP still makes money i have to make up for lost time by subscribing for more play time and spending more money (which is what id be doing anyways)..... so WHY isnt this feature implemented.

Man, I'd play for a few hours and freeze my account on and off every day. It would last me a whole year :p On the other hand, why are you reading my signature? |

Do not pay CCP and they will freeze your account.
EVE gate may have a more functional interface for your skill queue in the future. --

Why would you want to subscribe to something that you don't have the time to use? Be it internet gaming or anything for that matter. If you cannot use it, better not to subscribe to it. CCP cannot fix your lack of time to play games...

You know cursing isn't the way to sway people to your side. Your best option is to petition to explain what is going on and why you can't play. Maybe a GM will sympathize but try to refrain from talking like you have so far in this thread because if you curse at them they aren't going to help. Also explore other options, load EVE onto a thumb drive and take it to a friend's house to update your queue or something. A little logic goes a long way, whereas acting like a three year old throwing a tantrum because he isn't getting what he wants isn't going to do anything but make you look like an ass.

This, really. Check the vids from last fanfest. CCP hinted that managing your skills via the web/evegate might be possible in the future.
Other than that: Eve allows you to advance your char even if you are actually not able to play/log on by just putting a high lvl 5 skill. That's more than you get with any other mmo/game. Quit whining.
Oh, and you pay for access to the server, not for skilling, btw.

True. However, the days of hints are over. CCP has said "Our plan is to eventually offer everything on EVE Gate that you can do in game apart from explorations in space and blowing stuff up."
Until CCP gets around to something similar to authenticator devices, I personally would not use a public machine for EVE. If a friend or relative was using Windows I would not use their machine unless I respected their computer skills. If you choose to have unprotected computing, you probably would be fine though.

Almost always true, but someone who is using RAF/Po2 accounts to create pilots to sell may never undock. There is a persuasive argument that these people are basically just paying for the skill points.

An optional authenticator would be nice, indeed.

It doesn't matter what they think or feel they are paying for. what they actually agreed to pay for matters. The EULA/ToS says "We'll try to give you as much access to the server as we can." Wether you log on or not or if you train skills or not does not matter at all.
I don't know about the current prices for characters, but someone paying an account to sell the character later will most likely be off better by just buying ISK directly.

Yeah. Legal ISK, ofc. I'm not trying to get people to lose their accounts.

Ok, here is how this thread should have been worded:
Quote:
So, I was wondering if you guys could put in some kind of temporary account freeze, so that if I went on vacation, or my computer blows up, I could freeze my subscription, and not train any skills. Perhaps put a limit on it, so that the minimum freeze time is like a week (to keep people from turning it on and off). Also, if it would be okay, could you guys in the future look into incorporating skills into eve gate so that I would not have to ask for this?
Thank You so much for all of your hard work!
So, I think this is a decent idea, but because of how much of an ass you were about it, I say no.
Thanks,
Rat
