To all you guys in co-operative ship BP deals check the dev blog. Copies are going to be changed, just take this into consideration first, want 2 keep the whining down...

i for one totally disagree with messing up the blueprints to appease the whiners... they are changing MAJOR aspects of the game, i own every cruiser BP and they are copies.. now they will become useless... a waste of 50 million isk...
maybe we should make the ships invulnerable too... and while we are at it, make everything free... yeah... oh yeah, then the game will suck and no one will play.

Quit whining.
Copies were never intended to replace an original print. As it is there is little reason to buy an original. This will put value back into original bps.

YouŠre 50 mil. loss ? IŠve lost more then 100 mil. while buying originals that became worthless cause everyone got a copy and was producing and dumping till nonsens.
Its time that investment gets worth what it should.

Acutally originals are still currently useful I just think that folks are too impatient to really invest the time into making the bp worthwhile. The fact that you can research the original to reduce not only production time but mineral costs is good in that it allows you to underbid your competitors while still making a profit. Not to mention you can make copies of your bp to sell. 3 copies usually pays itself back for the original. Now I do know that copying and research take time but too many folks don't seem to understand the point of investing some time for better returns down the road.
And the dev blog bit says they might put in the option.. nothing is mentioned that you still couldn't make bp copies that allow unlimited production.

Zedia, your idea would work if people wouldn't keep lowering their prices, you underbid and some other guy underbids YOU, driving the prices down.
And researching will only save you so much money.

This is also going to screw multiracial corps, who buy one original and trade a copy of a ship BP for a copy of a different races' equivalent ship BP.
