i was having the same issue as most of you that my client would randomly stall and not let me return to desktop or it would crash with no error report window.
anyway i tinkered around with it for a while and stopped using wifi (MBPlate2009) and switched to an ethernet cable while on the desk in my room.
played for a good 8 hours today and 6 yesterday with the cable in and game did not crash once. try it and let me see if it works for you guys

I have not had a silent DC since switching to ethernet ( 1 hour so far, time will tell I guess. ). I couldn't run missions on my iMac using wifi because the eve client kept disconnecting silently, losing all my drones etc, every 20 or 30 minutes. Hopefully this will hold up better, thanks.

Been running for a couple of days now, using ethernet instead of wifi, and it has been reliable the whole time - no disconnects! It is playable again :)

Tried turning off wifi and going ethernet. Eve still randomly quits. CCP still sucks.

I used cable too and get some crashes a day. But most crashes are around the same time. after that i can play hours without any crash...

I try to avoid wifi and laptops when at all possible, so my iMac is hardwired and I still get the crashes. But IMO taking wifi out of the mix has to help performance and reliability a bit.
