You sound, slighted Zedic. Attacking someone's age, experience or harping on your own of each with quaint windows 95 drops and whatnot is just cute. You dont know me, my age or anything else. I know your name from somewhere though but i cant place it right now oddly. Maybe we have met in the past before?
All arguments about Mac VS PC price and build quality aside (make a new thread for that please, i refuse to get into an epic threadnaught about paying $3500+ for the exact same components, memory, quality, and case as a $1500 PC. In FACT theres a thread on that someone posted yesterday!)
Just to clear up one thing, anything you can do on the PC is doable on the phone setup because you're running whats effectively a mirror.
As for the nexus one, its actually a nice phone, the only reason I chose a droid was i absolutely NEED a physical keyboard because of the other functions it simplifies and im old fashioned. The phone's performance is miles above anything apple has you to release, but like ALL things lately phone related you can rest assured the iphone will be exactly the same as it is now, when the iphone4 finally drops. Same ui, capability's, limitations, and everything. By that time though 1.5 and 2ghz snapdragons will also be launching via HTC and Motorola making the build argument, again, moot.
In the end, have fun, lighten up, have fun with your apple phone.

Oh for heavens sakes. *le sigh*. Perhaps this is evidence that I need to use more smilies or something to help convey the mood that either I am failing to properly convey, or evidence that young folks spend too much time ascribing what someone "sounds" like on the internet. (HA! seee what I did thar?!)
I like arguing, can't help it. I'm not angry and ok sure, I was hoping for a spirited debate on not one, but TWO threads here in OOPE on the PC/Mac intarwebs war. My original comments were very much on topic though, and I find the look of the phone far lower quality than the specs. I find that silly, and expect a phone to both look good (bricks are soo 1980's) and work well. And yea, the clean efficient design of apple products is like a flame to our macmoths.. Or Mothmacs. bleh 
As for our meeting elsewhere, I posted on an EQ board for about 10 years. Don't think I've posted on any other forum besides gaygamers. I was never really much of an OOPE poster until recently, as I was constantly threatened by corp and some alliance leaders to keep my sharp tongued opinions to myself. "Orders" (bah, I considered them loose requests pffft) that I begrudgingly complied with in my earlier years of the game. My current corp is made up of people I've known since I started even and some of them since I was playing EQ about 10 years ago. So you may have seen me *****ing about something somewhere. Meh, leopards don't change their spots really.

Here is the reasons why you don't buy an iPhone.
I will take the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 (like i own) into here to, but it won't be the main thing here.
Saying iPhone / iPhone OS is better than smart phones with Android like Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 is the biggest crap / lie i ever have heard.
First. I will say that i own the XPERIA X10i, so i'm talking with experience here.
Secondly. At the moment, the XPERIA X10 only have software limitations that can be fixed later. And it have amazing hardware specs while iPhone 3GS have very bad hardware specs that can't be fixed. So even if the iPhone OS'es gets updated and so on, they can't get any more out of the softwares than it currently is. They can just add new features and that.
So i would rather have a phone with software limitations that can be fixed later instead of having a mobile phone where you can't get as good experience out of the phone because of the hardware in the iPhone sucks ass and can't be fixed at all.
And not only that. But i think it's time for Apple to totally renew their UI in the iPhone OS'es. The UI on the iPhone OS 3 & 4 really starts to look outdated and very bad now when there is Android 2.2 and soon Symbian ^3 out.
This is something i call for rainbow heaven for kids in iPhone OS 4: iPhone OS 4.
And then you see this from Android 2.2: Android 2.2.
When you see that, you can't be serious and say the iPhone UI looks good at all. It looks extremely bad, and many might agree on that.
And just to let you really see why i wouldn't even think about getting near to an iPhone ever again or any Apple products just because they are bad at making products. Then let me list up some things that make me to REALLY hate the current Apple iPhone's and Apple as a company.
* Apple as a company are with a bunch of power horney idiots who think they can do whatever they like. Yeah, one Apple guy can sit in his office and decide what app you wont like and then just remove it from the app store. Just because that Apple guy didn't like it.
* Locking to iTunes (can only be used on a PC / Mac!).
* Not good enough modem functionality (Might be fixed on iPhone 4G).
* No file manager.
* No real cut & paste, like copy images between folders.
* Browser (Safari) does not adjust the text to the screen by zooming.
* No home screen with calendar / appointments.
* Locking to app store.
* No radio.
* Poor resolution on the iPhone 3GS screen. (320x480)! (Will be much better on iPhone 4G).
* Bad camera (Will most likely still be very bad on the iPhone 4G, even with a 5 mpix camera).
* Poor battery life (Will most likely be like this with iPhone 4G to because the screen will eat alot of power because of the resolution).
* No multitasking (coming in iPhone OS 4, but this is not real multitasking).
* Poor GPS antenna (Might be fixed on iPhone 4G).
* The home screen shows only a dump with shortcuts to applications.
* Can't delete pictures / songs on the iPhone that are transfered via iTunes.
* Can't change playlists on the phone.
* Can't customize the home screen.
* Compressing the images transfered via iTunes down to about 40kb!. Try to zoom on the pictures on the iPhone to find that out folks. Sometimes it's even giving the picture 3x the size of the original picture and still resizes the picture like crazy.
* Poor signal strenght on both the phone and 3G data (Might be fixed on iPhone 4G).
* You must have an application for everything (Learn by HTC Sense).
* Only 65% of the front on the phone are from the screen, so poor utilization of the front capacity!. And the screen is even only 3.5 inch. Just look on the HTC HD2 to see what i mean by using most of the screen on the front. And that phone is just some few mm bigger than the iPhone.

Now you might not know this, but incase you don't then i can tell you the reason that the iPhone's now are working very smooth even with bad hardware specs. It's because the screen resolution is so low on the iPhone. So the iPhone doesn't have any problems to run things in the OS. Now take the resolution on the iPhone that is 320x480. That will be exactly 153600 pixels. Now take the XPERIA X10's screen resolution that is 480x854. That will be 409920 pixels exactly.
So it requires ALOT more CPU / GPU power to run a mobile phone with 480x854 resolution than it does with a screen that have 320x480 in resolution. Try and put the iPhone hardware into a new phone with a 4 inch screen that have 480x854 in resolution. I can guarantee you that it either will have VERY big problems to run things smooth even with iPhone OS, and it will stutter alot. Or it wont even handle it at all.
Take an iPhone to a friend or something and try to take any information / files from your PC / Mac to iPhone, only to take it to use later. It's not gonna work. Your friend can't get any files from iPhone to their computer / Mac either. This is very very bad Apple.
How many formats in the form of music and video can it play?. I do not need to mention it once.

Yes, i own an iPod Touch 2nd gen to, so i know most of those points are valid. An iPod Touch 2nd gen is the same as the iPhone 3G except for the phone functions. And it's the same as the iPhone 3GS minus the phone functions except that the 3GS have better CPU and GPU than the iPhone 3G / iPod Touch 2nd gen.
iPod Touch 3rd gen is the same as the iPhone 3GS specs wise though, except for the phone things.
Now i hope you can see why iPhone sucks ass. You can't really call this iPhone for good when you have the things i mentioned here about it. Apple must have manipulated you to hell and back to make you go and buy an iPhone when you know those things. Ofc a normal user who are after a new phone to use might not know those things, but i do and i will make sure you will know this to.
And i recommend you to read this to see why my points over are facts: The iPhone is the worst phone in the world
iPhone 4G seems to have nice specs and design though, but that doesn't help, because it will still run iPhone OS 4 that is not good in any ways over other smart phone OS'es today. So i wont buy the iPhone 4G either.
There might be some spelling errors here and there though.

I myself have a Nexus One. I chose this phone because I didn't want a smart phone - I wanted a PDA. However, the only PDAs that are on the market that I can see are the HP iPaqs. However, I didn't like the specs of the ipaq, and I feel that they will lose support soon.
According to my research, the Nexus One works perfectly without a carrier. YOu can't use it as a phone, but everything else works fine. Even the GPS navigation works so long as you start it when you have WiFi access. So I went out on a limb and bought one last month. I have to say that I have been 99% satisfied with it. The only issue that I have with it is that the speaker isn't loud enough and doesn't have a high enough fidelity to be used for media. Earbuds work perfectly fine for that, though, so it is only a minor inconvenience.
