Not sure if this is the right place to ask, but I've searched for the answer everywhere I could think of and couldn't find it, so...
Here's the thing. I've got 2 accounts, I play with two client windows open. On one of my characters, planet symbols appear in space when I pan the camera around, allowing me to click them to warp to, show info on, or whatever. On my other character, there are no planet symbols in space. Just gates, stations, and belts. There HAS to be a menu somewhere where you can pick which symbols you can see in space, but I can't find it, and it's driving me nuts! Please help me.
Just to be clear, I'm NOT talking about the overview. I mean space. Panning the camera around.
It's extra-frustrating since the character who CAN'T see planets in space is the one with the planetary interaction skills. You'd think something as big as a frelling PLANET would be easy to click on, but nooooooooo...

Edited by: Mal Lokrano on 05/06/2010 06:30:19 Overview also controls what you see in space, create a overview tab that has planets in it then also set that overview setting in the brackets part as well (or just set it to brackets only so you don't see planets in the overview). Overview stuff can be seen by clicking the little white triangle on the overview in case you didn't know. ____________________________________________ When going to a party with wine, women, and song. Ok, this is weird. I was about to do as you suggested, and added another tab to my overview (my fifth one). As I did that, planet symbols appeared in space. So did moons, asteroid belts, and everything else. But I did not add anything to overview! All I did was create a new tab! What gives?
I am both happy, and very very confused.
Oh, and thanks for the quick reply btw.

It likely just did the default settings when you created a new tab which can have entirely separate settings than the first.. ____________________________________________ When going to a party with wine, women, and song. Always ascertain the vintage of the first two. |

Symbols in space are called brackets.
You can have different brackets than on your overview, but by default they are the same. There is an overview menu for selecting brackets, as well as a shortcut right-click context menu.
To toggle custom brackets off / on (they must be loaded) press ALT X
