As a lendor finding a legitimate lendee, how do you regard your rate of returns? Ignoring fraud and only considering real default.
Below what % is meh? (thinking 5% here) Above what % is great? (thinking 10% here)
Guessing here that players are biased based on overall wealth. Feel free to toss any additional figures out (ie. 10M bond not worth your time at any %)
Thanks.

Your best bet is finding a corp/alliance mare and loaning money to them. Then you would always have the ability to kick them out of the corp if they screw you.
As to rates? I think the going rate here is 4% for the "untouchable elite", 6% for regular "known" people and scammers/no history seem to offer 8%+.
I know in my alliance 7.5%-10% is normal. It's not enough to break someone borrowing, and its enough to motivate a lazy person to send isk.

I have active 3% and 4% bonds. I think that's pretty much the best uncollateralised rate anyone can expect at the moment.
Personally I am willing to invest at 5%-6%, without collateral for those I have established trust and with 110% collateral for those I have not. Generally I would not consider a higher return to be any compensation for higher risk. That's not to say I'm not willing to invest at higher rates of return but that I'm not willing to invest at higher levels of risk.
If I want to do something risky for a high return, I'll do it myself.

In my recent snapshot survey of IPOs and bonds that started in October or November 2009 and had successfully closed by 1 March 2010, the average interest was around 7% per month. |
