I would like to say the feed has been very good and problem free.
I still prefer like it use to be done yrs ago when we could just access the stream with which ever player we wanted instead of having to use flash. I do like flash for some instances but not all the time.
One example is for some reason when I try to run flash with hardware acceleration on it works fine until I run full screen then the picture tends to freeze with sound being fine. I can run it with hardware acceleration turned off fine in full screen but then it becomes more of a resource hog compared to other viewers that seem to work in full screen with hardware acceleration on. <shrug>
I'm always one for more choices then less.

yeah, that live tournament thing has made my friends a bit jealous what im playing and they are not ;)
The live stuff has been amazing! its just great to watch/listen to the alliance tournament and roam in low sec ;D everything stops at the starts of a round. I usually loath all commentary things but actually ive liked these commentators a lot, so thanks to the team!

QFT And also fix the commentators audio, they were clipping and cutting out like crazy.
Video stream was awesome though, HD was clear and the camera work was much better than last years.

Originally by: CCP Claw Im not sure how we can make it better next year short of giving every subscriber a 65" TV and streaming it in 1080p :)
Well, I wouldn't say no...
A random thought I had would be to stream some live telemetry alongside the video/audio (kind of like they do for F1) - so shield/armour/structure readouts, velocity, distance from arena centre for each ship (streamed in a nice open data format of course ). It'd probably take a massive rewrite of an EVE client in order to do this, so I'm prepared to chalk that up as "moon on a stick" territory!
And people have said this plenty of times already - commentators... Tell me what's going on onscreen, not what isn't. Someone on Slashdot made the suggestion that the commentators be given loadouts for all the ships at the start of the match to help them out. It's not enough to just repeat "ship X is taking damage from team Y. It's taking more damage. There it goes. Ship Z is taking damage from team W..." - Are they webbed or scrammed? Heavies or HAMs? In the middle of thousands of drones or chasing their opponent around the arena? Being helped by their logistics teammate or being sacrificed while she focuses on another ship? Paint the scene with your words, don't just annotate it ---------- EVE Markets - global price trends at your fingertips |

Originally by: Bellum Eternus The video interface and overall production quality for Alliance Tournament VIII is really impressive. No media players, smooth delivery, no lag, high bandwidth streaming. Well done. It's head and shoulders above anything else you've delivered so far with the Alliance Tournaments. I hope next year is even better.
totally agree, was awesome stream.
