a lot of minmatar ship names are from viking mythology, sleipnir was the eight legged horse of odin who carried him around the place, muninn and huginn were ravens that sat on odin's shoulders, naglfar means ship of nails which was a ship made of fingernails that carried the dead, nidhoggur was a tree whose roots were the root of the world and stabber is what angry norse men used to do to people who annoyed them

Actually, Nidhoggur was a dragon that ate the roots of the world tree(also known as Yggdrasil).
