This reminds me of the part in the Mel Brooks movie "History Of The World Part One" when the 2 Roman Soldiers are getting stoned and the 1st soldier says to the 2nd "hey!! do you care if it falls?" the other answers "Care if what falls?" and the 1st answers "The Empire?" and the second answers "fffff****cccc*** iiiittt!" and they laugh hitting the big blunt!

Personally, I think we could as well go on until the whole name no longer exists. If that means continueing our war in both 0.0 and empire against the remaining few corporations so be it.
After that, and finishing up our buisiness with Fade and NSA, who knows ? I might start a daycare center for cute little crockite roids up here

I could be wrong but here's my take.
Uncle Bob is basically operating under a different set of assumptions than anyone else.
The game (Eve) assumes alot of things. It assumes that ppl will bunch up in 0.0, collect into these huge monolithic "Empires" that are basically cartels, and duke it out with each other over control of the ore.
Well here we have an entity that's basically the opposite, kind of like the roving Mongol hordes.
The big empires seem to be shivering in their boots, making alliances with old enemies, but time will tell if the Ghengis Khan model will work in Eve.
Personally I think eventually non-territoriality will fail as a concept, really the only reason it's succeeding in Bob's case is because they have some of the best individual talent in the game.
I think eventually they will settle, and eventually become a big monolithic alliance themselves, with all the trappings and pitfalls of an alliance.
Non-territoriality isn't feasable, because the desire to claim living space is a natural animal instinct.
As far as Bob's goals....I'm pretty sure they're just out to pod ppl, collect tolls, and enjoy themselves, which basically amounts to piracy, not that claiming a region of space and closing it off to everyone else isn't a form of piracy, I guess life in 0.0 is just various forms of piracy from a real world perspective aint it.
What is government but another form of piracy? If you don't pay your taxes, you go to jail. If you dont pay your property taxes, you lose your home. It's just a collection of tolls for living on "our turf" (ie the nation's land.)
Yet if you think about it...the land was here before nations. The US government didn't create Alabama, but they'll sure as hell tax you for living on it, and they'll tell you where you can live, and how you can live, and who you will serve to make currency.
That's not a critique of my country, but rather just a commentary on how the world works.
There are no rights, save those which derive from the barrel of a gun.
