No gun cycles, no local chat, nothing.

When are you going to fix this game?
CCP will fix it when the 0.0 alliances finally start showing up to their mass-lag testing on SISI, that they are constantly running.
Unfortunately no 0.0 alliances show up to help test, so your lag remains. enjoy.

Cause it is totally the responsibility of paying customers to help fix bugs, especially when they could be replaced by test clients running a script.

So basically you just wanna sit on your ass and whine about the lag.
Welcome to the wonderful world of computers. Since the very first computer, the end-users have been responsible for reporting and helping fix bugs. Today, you look at large software packages like Microsoft Windows and even Linux, you will notice many, many end-users filing bug reports. This is normal.
So, again, welcome to computing 101. If you dont want to assist in making the product you use better, then you can remain angry. Enjoy your potato chips.

Did you miss 5 months of players participanting the mass tests on SISI, posting their findings, opions, data on the forum, filing dozens of bug reports with logserver attachments? Seriously, the only thing the players can do to improve their assistance is go and actually fix the bugs for CCP.

When is the last time microsoft posted a "come help us load test our servers" request to their fortune 500 customers?
As for linux, slightly different culture, the end users also wrote a lot of the software that comprises GNU/linux.
If CCP open sources their server code i'll happily show up and help test and submit patches. As long as i'm paying for it, they can figure it out.
