I would like to know if it is possible to go to an area of 0.0 to hunt npc's and be in an alliance so player pirates will leave me alone? I am particularly interested in getting missile launchers for my ship.

someone gota say somthing too you so ill just say it. your better off going for a nap with them too get in, but that will cost alot. not too say you will get ganked so much that its better just too mine or hunt 750k lords too make the money for them in easyer 00 space.
prov is a good place too go for that. most alliances dont care about that place becouse there is nothing there of value for them, so i would start working on thouse luanchers down there.
oh and i forgot too add, dont ever suck up too them for somthing, it just gives them a biger ego then they already have. do what i say too them, kiss my ass im here and like it..

If you are a member of a large-ish mining corp, I hear that F-E offers mining contracts in the vale/tribute area, and that you can NPC up there. -------------------------------------------- CONCORD: Kneecapping Pilots for Misdemeanors Since 2003 |

In other words you want to NPC up in the northern regions. Thats really not a viable plan given the politics of the area at the moment. Tenal/Venal/Branch is controlled by BoB and allies, and I havent heard of them selling hunting passes (I may be wrong). It would probably be easier to join an existing corporation in that area, but they would only let you in if you are fairly serious about living in 0.0.
If you really want to go up north then I suggest you look up A.W.M. (public channel AWM), they have interests in Pure Blind and Tenal, and are a generally great bunch of guys. --------------------------------------------------

i know, its so stupit, they fire missles at me but dont drop launchers.. gezz!
anyway, yea. i just wonted too tell him a good spot too hunt npc's without realy dealing with alliances and there headacks.
i think ccp has keep the area free of good stuff for a reason and its too let the weaker playres beable too get into 00 space and have some 00 fun. alot of noobs and single corps dont realy know that about prov.

Don't go there! He is an evil man with a cunning plan! He will wait for you in "prov" and he will then proceed to kill you!

Ignore the aliiances, they have nothing to back up their claims on those regions aside from brute force. Just avoid the blobs and run when you see anyone and you'll be pretty safe out there (assuming you can stand up to the npc spawns). 0.0 space is free for everyone. Those 'claiming' it are nothing more than a bunch of kids claiming some part of the schoolyard.

Yeah like those silly empires claiming high security space. Or silly governments claiming countires.
Or do you think that governments have some God given right to there territories? The basis of all power is brute force. Power can be exercised through other means, but you always require force to deal with those who cant be dealt with any other way. --------------------------------------------------

Well I'm Calderi, but I absolutely agree with you! The trouble is that the pirates are so strong, and well=organised, the only hope of beating them would be to camp the gate before they arrive, or just assembling a massive fleet and wiping them out. I would definitely be interested in either of these options!

yep those guys guarding 0.0 space are a pain in the ass! I foolishly tested the water with a caracal, just to see what would happen - I was kind of hoping that the podding might be happening deep inside the system, and not at the gate. Well needless to say it took about 5 seconds to find out differently, it was all very blurry but I remember a huge Apocalypse sitting there with a daft name like Mwahahahahah, and thinking yep, mental age of 9, been playing the game for hours every day to get that level.
Anyway - what I'd love to see, would be a fleet of ****ed-off newbies and medium level players just amassing at the gate to overwhelm the saddos (whose idea of a good time is to sit at the chairs for hours on end hoping for the odd innocent to wander through)by sheer weight of numbers . Either that or a few corps get together with a fleet of Ravens and just kick their sorry *******s all the way back to their home bases.
As a footnote I'm not whinging about being podded - I went into that system with my eyes fully open, knowing that being podded was a very realistic outcome. Still, I'd love to see it happen anyway!

remember the core rule of every alliance mining/hunting pass. It is merely extortion. All you get is them not shooting you on sight, assuming each member knows not to shoot you or if they choose to honor their agreements.
if they are a strong alliance then as a by product there will be "less" pirate type players out there looking for a quick miner/npc hunter gank.
consider passes as merely paying off the Mafia but that doesn't protect you from all the other syndicates (other alliances) and local street thugs (pirates).
