Isn't it going to be really hard to be selfsufficient in some products, like for example rocket fuel if you produce T2 torpedoes? In one month one character can produce about 250 runs of those in a POS, and this takes about >100k rocket fuel. I haven't counted very exact, but in one month on a ok 0.0 planet with an advanced command centre i get about 7-10k rocket fuel. 5 of these makes <50k... Or am I totally wrong? My guess is there are a few other materials with the same problem.
Will this make rocket fuel and T2 missiles (especially torps) a lot more expensive? And what else? |

Whoa, I know this isn't exactly an answer to your question, but, are you actually able to sell that many (250 runs = 1M+ torps) in a month?

Well, figure (18) AIFs on a P2/P3 production planet pushing out 5 units per hour per AIF, needing 80 units of P1 input. Those 18 AIFs can produce 2160/day or 64800 Rocket Fuel/mo.
The harder part is getting the P1 inputs, I've heard (8) BIFs can be kept busy 24x7 in null-sec on a planet. Two BIFs can keep 1 AIF (making P2) busy. So we'd need 36 BIFs to keep those 18 AIFs busy.
So you'll need 4 or 5 planets making the P1 products (Electrolytes and Plasmoids), feeding into a planet making the Rocket Fuel (P2).

Be happy it's only a P2 item. T2 drone producers have 2 x P3 items in their blueprints.

and it looks like the fun has begun. rocket fuel removed from npc orders in metropolis (everywhere else?). sadly my iskies are tight and I only bought 100k units before this occurred. I'm sure others are sitting on huge stockpiles. But if they aren't then then producers had better get some planets cooking!

Maybe... I'm looking at the list that I have of P1/P2/P3 items. Some are still seeded, no pattern yet. No Rocket Fuel seeded in Domain, Heimatar or Metropolis though.

The (3) P1s are still seeded. All of the P2s except for Rocket fuel are still seeded.
Robotics might have been touched. It's still seeded in Metropolis lo-sec, but all the NPC buy orders in Heim/Metro are gone.
My suspicion is that NPC orders are no longer regenerating every day...
