just a wuick question:
It would appear that I can only put down PI chains for myself, other corp members (or my alts) can't access them.
Is that something I'm doing wrong or is that as intended? only thats going to be a major pain in the arse if I'm off and my corp can't access the PI chain I put down.

Working as intended, but I'd like to see a corp PI functionnement in the future though.

you will need to trade your p1 p2 p3 etc products within your corp, if you all stick to 1 system with a variety of planets it wont be difficult to make a decent enterprise.

that blows big monkey wang.
seriously needs fixing asap. If I'm only able to log on once in a week and the corp needs what im producing they are screwed until I can log back on.

Its a completely new part of the game calmdown. Sure its not even gonna be profitable till everything stabilizes out and they then remove the npc sell orders. Im sure they have corp interaction on their list to implement but there are more important things to get working first -----------------------

I concur. I'm sure they will add features and change PI over time, but I hope this is somewhere near the top of the "to do" list for PI.

A team is supposed to keep on working on PI, I hope they'll do good work :)

top of the list?
should have been part of the initial roll out. not hard to implement and hardly exploitable is it. instead of which my corps production plan is gimped before it even starts because we have to rely on people being able to log on to keep the chain moving.

Wrong masema. Another more active member in your corp can set up the same PI as yourself and bring in the needed products.

CCP is obviously taking a trial and error approach to PI, instead of trying to design it correctly to begin with.

I'd rather take a trail and error approach where CCP includes us early in the decelopment than a big lump of unfinished mess any day I like to post too, but sometimes i don't know what to say. So i just post something random like this post. But on the other hand, it might just all be a large signature. |

This. With the relatively small setup cost, and the wide variety of planets and systems, there is absolutely no reason why another player cannot pick up the slack. Your corp should have considered your schedule when planning and adjusted accordingly

If only CCP had some sort of 'test' server, where people could 'test' features before they were implemented into the game. You could use this 'test' server to 'test' upcoming features and provide feedback on your 'testing' to CCP.

I'd rather them design it well and thoroughly test it on sisi and release it instead of how they are doing it now. It's like they half-assed the design, implemented it, and barely tested it. Then they released it, then keep going back and tweaking it and making huge mistakes in the process. Such as the deal with NPC orders, and how complicated and unintuitive everything is.
For example, on sisi now, if you are trying to place a pin and move it too close to an already placed pin it will turn red, indicating you can't place it there. In the live version you have to continually try to place a pin and fail and move until you are able to place it with no visual feedback. Things like this should have been done before it was released and just shows you they did the almost the minimum to get this feature released with no fine tuning or usability enhancements.
