Edited by: Vossejongk on 09/06/2010 16:31:28 I was wondering if anyone can help me with this, since google doesnt find anything on the issue (weird).
Whenever I move my mouse up or down, the scrollbar (if there is any) follows it. So if i move the mouse up, the page moves up. If I move the mouse down, the page goes down with it. Also the scroll wheel sometimes doesnt work and if it does its only briefly.
I've had this problem before on my XP machine but have no clue how I fixed it nor can I find any info on it..
If someone can tell me how to fix or directs me to one i'd be a very happy person
Using windows 7 now btw, if it matters any...
Cheers
Edit: In EVE it works fine btw, and at the moment it seems it has fixed itsself, but still I kind of expect it to come back >_>... ----------------------------------------------- EVE Gate:

It is a physical problem with your mouse, most likely, instead of a software problem. I had a similar issue with a Razer mouse. Most companies use cheap scrollwheel screws and contacts, which cause issues like yours.

Edited by: Vossejongk on 09/06/2010 16:36:57 Edited by: Vossejongk on 09/06/2010 16:35:22 I have a Typhoon 40159 (optical wireless) and I havent really had bad experiences with the thing. It looks really solid and feels sturdy. Becides some wear on the paint because of heavy use it doesnt has any problems and the scroll wheel still looks in perfect shape. I've also taken it apart once to clean it out and it still worked perfectly after. This morning it was also working fine only when I started up my PC an hour or so ago it started acting up..

Edit: Even if I dont touch the scrollwheel and move it up or down the page still goes the same way :/. The only thing on google I found said "replace the mouse" and others confirmed that worked but I really like this mouse :P

Edited by: Zions Child on 09/06/2010 16:40:46 Yes, its a nice mouse, but manufacturers are cheap. I spent over 50 dollars on my mouse, and the thing was useless inside of 3 months. I'm now back to using a crappy 10 dollar mouse that has lasted over 5 years.
Cleaning it will make it work for a short period of time. You might have to tighten the scrollwheel screws, or the contacts are completely shot, and you need a new mouse.
EDIT: Even if you aren't touching the scrollwheel, if the screws are loose or the contacts are shot, then it will still happen.
