I just want to give an open thank-you to CCP for the awesome customer service experience I had in dealing with a technical issue through the in-game petition system.
It has to do with sound problems and I was escalated twice and went through about 15 steps over about a month of updating drivers and tweaking settings in a very professional way with the GM staff.
I've played many MMOG's in the past and have never experienced the kind of courtesy, patience, and one-on-one attention as I did trying to deal with the issue I am having with sound.
Unfortunately it was met with negative result on correction but I have a feeling that it is more to do with crap RealTek integrated hardware than the game. However, I really appreciate GM Xamother, GM Retrofire, and GM Zhainius for their patience and efforts.

Yes, there is absolutely positively no way that your issue might actually be, like, I don't know, the most crappiest sound system ever developed on this planet, that CCP somehow managed to employ (I wouldn't dare to say "develop").
Let's simply blame it on RealTek, even though their (fairly cheap and unimpressive) integrated hardware, like, works everywhere besides EVE quite fine.
Also, in before 'EVE has sound?'

It could either be EVE or realtek, and it really doesn't matter. This thread is about the GM team, which consist of different people than the people who did EVE's sound.
I have to agree with the OP, I've had very good experiences with the GMs in EVE.

That's the major issue. If sound in EVE at least semi-worked, there wouldn't be need for three GMs spending time with OP fixing his computer, when just the sheer volume of people complaining on EVE's sound system flakiness every other day is, well, could be a pointer to something.
(For bonus points, search through forums for other people having sound issues with EVE. There are like, millions of them. I wasn't arguing about fact that GMs were trying to be helpful, in fact, they have to be paid for something.)

I like how they often address their petitions to me "Hi GM here". Adds a personal touch which I find endearing.
