So I know the revelation is a better ship for traditional dready stuff (pos bashing, cap bashing), but how is the moros now after the drone nerf? I'm training for a dread atm but I can't decide which way I want to go.
I'll primarily use it for small lowsec fleet battles. Most likely against a few other caps with an escort of smaller ships. So the drones look nice to help take out smaller ships while my big guns take out the big stuff. But EFT shows only 600 dps from drones with all 5s compared to the 1000 dps stories I was hearing about pre-nerf.
In short, is the moros drone bonus still worth the isk/skillpoints? Or should I just go for a rev?

Good choice of ship for a small, low-sec fleet. You might wanna buy two or three of them, just in case your small fleet runs into something big.

For his small low sec engagements it is pretty much the other way around. (Where caldari have very good dps + tank, and flight time isnt really relevant).
Rev looks ugly, moros looks good, if you spend 1.5B on a ship better have one that looks good. And in general a moros will do better damage types than a rev.

Yeah, for small-scale fights I'd say that the Revelation is clearly the worst. With 3x Gyro and 2x BCS, Naglfar has the highest DPS and great damage type selectability. A four-BCS Phoenix, requiring some cheap CN hardeners, come second in DPS terms, and it projects that DPS a hell of a lot further than the turret dreads. The Revelation has the lowest DPS, virtually no range advantage over the Moros and deals probably the worst damage types.

for low sec id say the moros is a nice choice because you can launch your drones and set them to assist some random tackler and that way you can apply dps faster

not 100% sure of the drone stat changes (if any?), but from tracking speed, i would go with a Moros. It has the highest tracking speed Vs pulse laser or auto cannon, so might be the best for small engagements.
That said, while the tracking speed is lower, it's accuracy is ALOT better. Drone bay size is different of course, but your drones might not make a big difference in a fleet engagement

I always like the moros the most! To bad ccp nerfed the drone bonus, so you can only use it in seige mode (Unless im wrong about that). Then they'ed still be awesome. If not! Id say the revelation with knowing next to nothing about cap ships...

You are. They nerfed the drone bonus to 20%/lvl both in and out of siege, then boosted the gun damage a tad to compensate.

yeah too bad they nerfed the moros drones. It was my one man vs the blob in 0.0. With dread 5 ogre II were evil
